I used 4x2 for the joists and held them with joist hangers. Then put the osb sheets over the edge and felted it.
I think it has a 100 mm slope over 2 metres

Why? Aesthetics?
If you're blocking it anyway I would think about doing something funky with it, ship lap is quite pricey so I would use straight cut timber, maybe paint the blocks black so you can't see them and space the cladding out slightly (use less timber that way) mount it vertically etc. plenty of ideas on the net.

That is just how I did my garage on a property I used to own, still standing today some twenty years later.

yeah i got a load of shiplap at work and was gonna take that, im always up for something funky not really thought about it yet.

Im "meant" to get planning permission for it but im not going to bother
