It's looking good, well done to you and your chap.

If you like the seats leave them as they are. It doesn't matter what other people think.

They must be worth abit, pop them on ebay for £500 you never know lol that would pay for some new seats and holiday

You have to love the colour though, have you noticed how the paint slightly changes colour in artificial light?

It's such an odd colour and very hard to take a photo that shows the true colour of the paint.

Yes I have loads of pictures of it looking different in every light. Think it looks best at night under street lights, you can see the red coming though.

Best colour car I've ever owned

Blimey man, get your eyes tested. And you own a reddish blue car lol

It's sonic blue, 74f. As stated on previous page, it's a Turbo 2000, UK spec car. The colour was available if you ordered your UK car via dealers in Europe, Holland seemingly the main port of call. A lot of people went over and drove them back. The colour on this year was not available from uk dealers, hence the Holland part. I think it was right around the time top gear (remember Quentin?) would have been championing getting your UK car via a European dealer and saving some money. Not only was it a cheaper way, but you got a decent colour too.

I did a bit of research on how many shades of 65C there are after reading about the various shades of 74F and I've found 3! Mine is certainly on the lighter end of 65C. DuPont have a very good website.

Really, I might have your front wing then

As I bought a new/used front wing off a breaker and you can slightly notice its a different shade, only slightly in full day light.

On the subject of shades.. What I want to know is how do you find what shade of the two or three variations of the same code you have!

My own car is MY00 sti v6, in (very rare for an sti) 95H. It appears slightly more special looking than the UK 95H shade, which looks a lot flatter and more navy in comparisson. I ordered up some paint to do my bonnet vent and it's totally different, I'm told there are two shades to this code too.

I'd keep checking on ebay, you will find a breakers selling one, or listed wanted ad on here.

This might be same colour

Google the DuPont paints website and have a look at the standard paint plus whatever variations they have formulated. For mine, the were different shades and also larger and smaller metallic particles.

I tred to list an add but got to upgrade account. So tried but won't go past payment :/

Was gonna do swap for ma gear box and power stearing pump but he was only gonna give bonnet and £60 or if bought £100 . But gear box even without diff worth 300-400 so gonna keep it and the stuff incase I well knacker sumat up . I saw a black bonnet for 35.00 but didn't have the side vents only the scoop. So not sure if that's ok for a turbo it was in matt black too looked a decent one too.

Really doh, there's plenty of bonnets on there, prob better buying one that's rough but rust free and getting resprayed, that would cost less.

Is it an aluminium bonnet? As there go for a lot more than steel ones, I think all sti's and type r's have alloy bonnets

Been reading a few posts earlier and it seems the alloy ones aren't worth much more than £80 and pre facelift £50.
