Yes I bought it like this and only to put its engine in my Hawkeye, but on the drive back from Scotland with it we decided it was a better track car than the Hawk so its staying

I'll be honest.... big body kits aren't my thing. I prefer a standard looking car with a decent power and suspension set up.

However, as these cars appeal to a wide amount of people, there will be huge variants as to how they are modified.

This don't just apply to Subaru's of course.
I know a lot of guys here wet their pants over Nissan GTR's, and I've seen some horrificly modified ones. Big body kits included.

Instead of moaning about a car that isn't your taste, and try to ridicule someone's pride and joy, just be glad your own car is to your taste, and smile that the more that get 'ruined' (in your opinion) just means yours will increase in value (like the good, clean, unmolested ones are)
Absolutely agree with this statement. It seems that some people are more interested in trying to vilify a particular club and it's founder. Nothing on here corroborates most of what is intimated. If a club has rules then so be it, the choice is with the member to leave or stay. I am sure those of you who are members of the particular club in question will have noticed they do not slate other members or other clubs.

Hats of to someone who can bring together a community of individuals who have pride in their cars and some references to other peoples literacy is not really very clever. After all, you do not need a degree to drive a car. It seems that some of you revel in your judgemental views, nitpicking and making harsh comments as to what other people do to their own car, after all that is their choice. Constructive criticism is in no way a bad thing, but the sheer animosity displayed shows the lack of mentality of some of the people posting.

The above quoted comments, they are in fact very true but yet again you choose to pick on the person and not the message within the post.

Badly modified cars driven by people who genuinely believe that they have improved said cars by adding parts that do not improve performance in any way. I'm really suprised anyone wants to insure badly modified cars. The car with oversized wheel spacers Is so typical. Let's be honest most of the sioc members haven't got an ounce of engineering sympathy/knowledge and shouldn't be allowed any where near a socket set.
Put it this way would you want your daughter to be driven around In one of the cars in these threads?

As you say mate same on all sites, I've seen some shocking advice given on here too. Difference is SIOC don't slag of every car going just because its not a boring standard car.

I take what i need from both sites, and offer what I can when I can.

The way I see if if the owner likes it who gives a rats what other people think.

Ffs my issue with sioc is its not a car club it's a dictatorship.
You aren't allowed an opinion other than vaders and if you express one you get banned.
How does this make for a good Club?
That's not even mentioning some of the epically retarded advice, some which is potentially car destroying and dangerous.

Are you a member???? No so why give a **** and why bring up constant ridicule of people making their cars a little different from the thousands of boring stock every day cars.

Me personally I am not a fan of Vader, Its not to my taste but that doesn't mean I have to slate the **** out of it or its owner. If that's what he likes then fair play to him, and I will even give him credit for the amount of time effort he has put into it, and the amount of abuse hes taken over it. Just because you have an issue doesn't mean you need to broadcast it. if you haven't got anything useful to say then shut the **** up.

No only because someone beat you too it.

Don't get me wrong I agree there's morons on both sites. All car forums are the same! however some people on here need to grow up and remember some people are not loaded and do the best they can with what they've got. peoples tastes vary, and a little respect and decency goes along way. basically act like adults not idiots.

There's plenty of cars on here and SIOC I'm not a fan of but I respect every one of the owners for doing something different. We are all here as enthusiasts at a variety of levels.

Vader gets the respect he deserves in my opinion.
He has created an eyesore of a car but as you say that's his choice.
But running a club where he bans anyone with a differing opinion to his or allowing such poor quality advice is asking for ridicule from enthusiasts.
I'd hazard a guess he hasn't got an ounce of technical knowledge as I've seen his posts on here pre vader.
A particular favourite was when he fitted sun ditchfinders and coloured in the letters on the sidewall.

Maybe so fella and everyone starts somewhere, but again at the end of the day any advice is taken as such. its up to the the individual if they listen to it or not. Anyone with a bit of common sense would research and gather opinions and information and come to there own conclusion. I've seen some of your posts and thought top man he knows is stuff and then I've seen others where I thought what a dick.

same can be said for every member of every forum and group out there. Everyone's experience and knowledge comes at different levels from their own experience or lack of in a lot of cases.

but to rip anyone's car who does anything remotely different is just rude and uncalled for. Frankly its shameful.

It lets down scoobynet and the scooby scene in general.

Why do people feel the need to ridicule anyone or their cars. its just not needed.

I think the issue with the vader club is not really the car its the fact he bans anyone who dares utter a bad word about it.
Given the fact the thing is plastered all over sioc it's going to generate posts good and bad but he can only take one of those.
I couldn't care less what people think of me I am an enthusiast and long term impreza owner But as you say people need to start somewhere and when you get banned from clubs for pointing out self learning ecus don't exist that kind of speaks volumes about the sioc and it's members to me.
Members being a great description.

Its not a genuine sti wagon mate its a WRX wagon with all sti upgrades being fitted from my STI donor car. Brembos and 6 speed should be fitted shortly.

STI wagon's are like rocking horse **** so I decided to make one and improve on it.

It does have the genuine STI wagon interior though so rear seats still fold down
