Nah, they're the same except for the hub drilling on the discs and the lower mount on the shocks.

And why would you import a WRX?? You would pay so much in shipping, import costs etc etc it would be a £10k car once in the UK and £10k could get you a proper Impreza.
JDM WRX is far better than the UK spec WRX

WRX is far faster than the STI. The big heavy 6 speed box, seriously robs power going to the wheels and is so ludicrously short (to make up for said power loss and stupid kerb weight) that the early gears make the car difficult to manage away from race-tracks.

The WRX is the better street monster by a miles. Sure the box is weaker but it'll get you to 100mph with a safe 320bhp in the same time an STI could do it with 400 ponies, so no brainer for me. V-Limited Blob also has STI styling.

And that Sir, clearly displays your total lack of both technical knowledge and common sense.

You seriously are a troll, and need to be chained up with the gimp mask firmly zipped shut.

I'd love to know where he gets his ideas from. I just did some quick *** packet maths and both the bug and hawk STis have a power to weight ratio than the equivalent WRX.

And the whole thing about the power sapping 6 speed box... Like that one extra ratio is going to have any meaningful effect on the transmission losses.

That's the point though.... an "extra" gear is irrelevant. Transmission losses are measured "in-gear"..... not through all the gears.

It is quite possible that a given 5sp box suffers less losses (or more) than a given 6sp, due to box design. However, it will be the first time I've heard that in this instance for the Impreza boxs.

Next you will be telling me the Impreza sport is quicker then a WRX/STi as it has no turbo lag
