So, starting to upset the neighbours a bit and thinking about putting the resonated centre back on. Anyone know if it will make much difference to performance?

its a restriction in the pipe so yes you'll take a small hit on it - but if it's 3" then you'll offset the loss a little vs a restricted 2.5".

Looks good, I would just get a bung for the exhaust, that we you can still have "Loud" when you want it.

Is it really? I always thought it was just a bigger tube full of wire wool and some holes drilled in the main pipe

Should have cut my old one open before it rusted to dust behind my shed

Ok you got me there, I shall rephrase - it's a disruption to flow so you will take a small hit on it - but very small. It would be down to personal preference unless you where out to make max powahhhhh
