355/360 bhp on the VF28?

This is possible I guess at Well Lane, but not at other RR's like Power Engineering or Powerstation. I got 330bhp at PS prior to WI - the highest they've seen on a Scoob to date - this was after modifications made on the last RR day at Well Lane, as my Actuator was not holding boost

Are you going to put on WI. Also I suspect to get this you'll have to run up to 1.5 Bar of Boost, which is too high, 1.4 is the Max. ou would also max out on the Injectors so would need the 550's minimum even with the small turbo...

Good luck though

Rich

I think that Mellows car should be banned!
But I'll have a good laugh nonetheless......

Question

Steve: Not quite sure what you are saying. I am still on the VF28 and think I need a different turbo to go beyond the current power output of about 340bhp. I currently run 20psi/21psimax and with a bigger turbo I think I will get the power figure I am aiming for but at slightly less boost. Time will tell.

Harvey - will be interesting to see

We can have a chat at the event day

Just hope I'm not called to the States at the last minute, which this afternoon was looking possible!

360bhp!

Well done m8! So, you got on Rev Bob too? What did you run against?

Thanks for offering up your place, I'll amend the list later.

Crikey those Evo engines rock! That's some improvement from February!

Nice one, see you there on the 30th!

Not going to cry too hard.

I got 331 bhp yesterday, not quite in your league, but I started with 208, not 276

See you on the 30th m8.

Do you have any more mods planned?

What boost were u running Rich?

Rich - its also much easier to modify an Evo - should have thought about that before getting the Scoob

Best result I reckon you can get from a Scoob prior to going internal is about 360bhp! - you could get about 370-380, but then you'd be running silly boost - i.e. over 1.4 bar held which could destroy the head gasket and other elements........

I'm only holding at about 1.25 bar of boost - with a peak of 1.4 bar max... to safeguard the engine now.....

I'll be happy if I finally breach the 350bhp barrier!

Steve,

I was running 21.5psi or 1.4 odd bar. I'm beginning to think an Evo would have been a better option judging by Rich's figures. But my scoob cost me £8500, and I coudn't have got half an Evo for that back then !

Think I'm finally gonna take your advice and fit a Link

Matt,

Yes, realised this the other day. Didn't realise when I booked it back in Feb/Mar. Is the kick off 7.30 or 12.30?

If hardly anyone turns up it means more runs for the rest of us!!
You reserves could be in with a chance.

Doubt that EVERYONE is into football.

Cheers

Rich

Cool

I sincerely hope England are in the final. Apart from anything else it will make the roads a bit quieter and yes I will be there regardless looking for 340bhp.

Rich,

As someone has dropped out, have I been promoted from first reserve to starting 25?

Steve

Steve Sherwen,

RichiW is provisionally staying in for now, just in case anyone beats 360bhp!

But there's a damn good chance no one will so you SHOULD get a run.

Not sure if Well Lane have a telly, I'll ask them.

Nice one, Scooberators, see you there m8

I'll print up the intended running order next week as some people have told me they have to get away early.

If you want to move up or down the list when I post it, let me know. It's a lot more flexible thgan last time.

Cheers

Rich

Hi Christian, Well Lane Turbo Centre are at Batley, just South of the M62 and West of the M1. Basically just South of Leeds which is a long way from Jersey!!! I think they are www.well-lane.co.uk

They wont check your CO or owt like that, these are purely power runs, hence £20 and not £35/£40.

Rich.

Can't wait now.

Should be a great do. Christian, you're more than welcome to come and Harvey is right about the web address for Well Lane. There's a map on there of how to get there.

I'll post the list of runners up later today with the order in which they'll be running.

Cheers

Rich
