Harvey - will you stop erm adjusting your car
I think you should wait till erm, after the Shoot - afterall I would'nt want you to be rushing anything and in your haste make a mess....

Scooberators
I'm sure there was a place for butties a few hundred metres away on the high street - or is'nt McD's close by?

Rich - can I be higher up the list please

Christian - Your more than welcome to attend - it'll be a fair distance for you I guess - for me 200 miles is nothing
(but dont stay in Batley overnight! - your car will get nicked/Vandalised/Torched - and that just be the local friendly (not) police, better to be say in Wakefield - loads a pubs and clubs! - not that I'm biased in anyway at all..)

Well Lanes rollers are the only ones that have ever been the most accurate for me - i.e. every performance mod and faster feel on the road always has equated to more power on the rollers, if only I could say that about other rollers, but I cant..... Although I did get 330bhp at PowerStation, before recent erm mods!

Then again the way the rollers spool up between say PS PE and Wl is different - you'd expect much more power at Well Lane and PE cos they run up to full revs in a matter of about 20 seconds - whereas the PS ones take well over a minute - different types of RR - inertia versus...?

Right folks, here's the running order. If you are not happy with where you are, please shout but obviously everyone can't go first!! I've tried to accommodate thos ewho have to go early and those who want to run side by side with certain people and also I've tried to make it as interesting as I can.

Again, all the Non Scoobs will go first to minimise the amount of adjustment on the rollers to keep things on an even keel. Then the MY01/02 cars will go on followed by the pre01 cars.

Then I've put the 2 standard P1s up for a decent benchmark to give us an idea of where we all are.

I've put the battle of the titans on then, Mr. King, Mr. Smith and Mr. McCulloch. Forget Lewis v Tyson and Alex v Spencer, this will be the real battle this month

WHO WILL WIN? Who will be jumping for joy and who will be crying at the side of the rollers? God it's exciting!!!!

Then I've intermixed people to try to get a nice even spread of cars of all types and MYs.

Anyway, enough waffling, here's the list:

See you all Sunday!!!

Erm Richard - I'm gagging to see the performance of Christians Car

Can I have a ride pleeeeaaaassssseeeeeeee

From Northern Swindon:

Its about 200 miles and will take you about 3 hrs to be realistic door to door. I have done it in 2 hrs officer - but then You'll be doing about 120+ on the motorway all the way for that......

Can give you directions if you want! - but then you'll probably have a map coming from jersey...

I'd go up with you as I live fairly close - but I'm out in Wakefield on Friday night

Cool

Steve: The mod was the Scania Turbo Pipe and it will not trouble you....yet. Wait for my bigger turbo and headers!!!!
Mellow might be the man of the match following his replacement ECU as he wants to be known as Mr. Torque.
As Christian is coming from Jersey (via Swindon) is anybody prepared to give him their slot?

Rich,

I'll be there at 9am.

The place opens 9.30 so the first cars should really be there just after 9 for a prompt start.

Also, NOTE TO EVERYONE:

CHECK YOUR OIL AND WATER BEFORE GOING ON THE ROLLERS. YOUR CAR WILL BE RUN UP TO THE REDLINE IN 4th GEAR SEVERAL TIMES AND WE DON'T WANT ANYONE BLOWING UP.

Cheers
Rich

p.s. if anyone wants to volunteer their space for Christian's awesome beast, please let me know. I'm not going on anyway or elsw I would do so. If you thought mine was powerful, it's a piece of dried up poo next to this car!!

Banshi,

You didn't have to give up your slot m8

It's very noble of you though. Are you sure?

Are you still going to come along anyway? We'd all like to see you there I'm sure.

I've had a couple of people drop out already, so the top two reserves are on, waiting to hear from them so you may actaully get a run anyway if all the reserves duck out.

Cheers (hope to see you there)

No probs mate, I had me 15mins of fame last time and they got the right car in the pic

Its pretty much a one off for Christian so I'm happy. If you accommodate him & the reserves slot me back in the running order.

I've no interest in football so I'll probaby drive over unless its issing down.

Christian
Cross posted there, it was a reply to Rich. He has a certain capacity to draw cameras to me, and they're not always of a photographic nature

Happy to help out, just a naturally caring and considerate individual. I'll accept that beer though I'll take it whilst I borrow your car during that free fortnights holiday in Jersey

Banshi: Really good of you to let Christian run. Thanks.
Chris/Steve: No matter what we do now including nitrous Christian will take the day by a big margin this Sunday.

Told you many times Harv..... I ain't bothered on the bhp figs...just want more torque....unlike the rest of you pussies I use my motors where they were meant to be used... ON TRACK

And have proven so far to date that you don't need to have big power to be the quickest car on track

Big ***** maybe...

If I can get circa 330 lbs of torque I'll be over the moon

Christian

I guess your correct, it is fairly standard! - just a slight difference in engine capacity!!

Chris

I'm also interested in Torque, this does tend to show very high though at Well Lane compared to PE and PS - so I tend to go by the bhp figure as a useful measure.

You get a run as PS the other day?

Hmmmmmmmm - we'll see on the day

You can go in the category with Rich, I believe Rich only has a 1.6l (non-turbo), as he's the organiser a few extra notes go along way, they even play a tape recording of some dubious car spinning up on the rollers - sounds really authentic though - so they've got it down to a tee.

A few others also seemed to have 1.6l judging by performances last time.....

Can you drive the thing properly yet? - I understand that changing gears is a bit of a nightmare for ya!

Steve,

I did go on P.S. rollers the other day pre GEMS and I was at a measly 280 bhp with 250 lbs !!

My bloody P1 on the same rollers did 287bhp and 268 lbs torque ?

I'll live in hope

Mellow

What you putting a Gems on in the next couple of days!

Now I dont feel you need to consider that option, until..... after..... the RR day....

PS do tend to show lower figures

I got 330bhp (torque cant remember - about 300) a couple of months ago, although this was after sorting out the Actuator, following the 349bhp at Well Lane - so the 330 probably equals about 360 at Well Lane? - who knows - varies day by day and only can be used comparatively on the day as a bit of fun..

Anyhow I may show less power? - who knows - dont want to raise the boost up too high - thats set in stone my Bob Rawle on my car, and I aint raising it!
