I would renew the discs as the cost will be cheaper than a new set of ksports etc.
Unlike the poor trolling attempt above I'll offer some advice based on experience.

I have an sti not the poverty spec model, obviously this came with brembos.
When I needed a new set of discs, pads I decided to remove the brembos and buy a set of d2s from the group buy on here a while back.

They are just as good on the road as brembos but far better on track but this is due to the bigger two piece discs dissipating the heat better so don't fade.
But pad choice is the important factor,ds2500 are what I use and can't fault them.
Don't take notice of how many pistons etc as this doesn't really make any real world difference.

Mine are now coming to the end of their life and will be replaced shortly so I will try something else.

I'm not one of the sheep on here that will tell you something is good just because I have it! I've bought lots of stuff only to remove as I've found it to be crap (see my posts on BC coilovers and xxr wheels)

I would say ksports do what you would expect if you stick decent pads in them, never had a single issue with mine but personally I'd keep the APs

I'd also add that fitting two piece discs to brembos would probably offer the same performance as the k sports as it would keep them cooler, this is a route I may down as I still have my brembos.

But the main reason is I want to refit 330 mm brakes as I found the car always handled better on 17s than it now does on 18s

we can certainly assist with any AP Racing, PFC (Performance Friction), Brembo, etc. enquiry and carry most common options on the shelf

can also arrange Ksport and D2 if required

Another costly "tuning god" mistake due to buying cheap tat, now watch the for sale section for more of his Chinese tat being off-loaded onto poor un-suspecting newbs that also can't afford proper brakes and are too stupid to realise they are cheap for a reason.

You take his advice pal, he really knows what he's talking about.

Brummmmm,brummmmmm.

Wrong as usual, tuning is about trying thing which you never did
The issue is the 18 inch wheels not the brakes.
Id like to go back to 17's but it's no issue as the turinis will sell for the cost of an old wrx anyway

I don't sell things on here anyway ,eBay has a far better class of wrx idiot

Yep it's only taken you 9yrs to work out that 17's are better on a newage.

You keep "Trying" Mr Tuner

My brakes are worth more than your car and would sell faster too.

No you have the cheap 4 pots fitted to a high mileage wrx wagon....epic

Brakes are probably worth 500 quid, half the value of the wagon though so probably best to keep them on.

I have the AP 4 pot CP6000 calipers with 330mm 2 piece discs, they're the ones with the extra dust seals and they fit under most 17's even the standard WRX wheel, points you'd do well to note.

But I knew what they were when I bought the car with the £1500 receipt for them being fitted 6months previously.

I don't care what they're worth now as I'll never need to sell them because they are one of the best out there, so nothing I could possibly replace them with will do what they can, much like my car.

Here's a bit of "Tuning" advice for you, "Buy right, buy once"

Sadly my car came with pf7s so I had no choice but to have 18s. I'd like some bbs 17's but need to find a set

AP's are definitely streets ahead of most brakes out there, even the OEM spec Brembo's. If you don't want to spend £200 on PFC pads and £500 on their discs then you can go for pads like EBC Orangestuff or Mintex M1144 for sub £100, rotors from the likes of Godspeed/Reyland for <£300 and then if you really want to, get the calipers refurbed by Godspeed. I wouldn't want to go from AP's to K-Sport or any of the other looks over substance manufacturers. Stick with what you have...
