This is the reason they look cheap and the reason a "Scooby" has the bad reputation it does. They've become so cheap that they have fallen into the hands of ***** who cover them in stickers and bolt on as much tat as their giro will allow.!

Presently I'd say there is more sh*t Imprezas on the road than nice examples which fuels the bad rep it has. There is not a day goes by that I don't see a wanted add on Face Book Subaru groups looking to buy one with a £1000-£1500 budget.....Says it all really.

To be fair, its really not hard to spot the difference between an enthusiast owned car and some **** just passing through "The scene"

I asked which blade size it was.

Fairly valid question bearing in mind UK scoobs don't have rear wipers so they're not listed anywhere.

If you're struggling to read, try asking an adult for help.

You do get very defensive and like to hurl insults don't you.

Still an equally stupid post to start, why not measure it?
Assuming you know how a tape measure works.

I don't actually carry a tape measure around, do you? I was in work and was going to pop round to halfrauds after.

Is that alright for you? Does that pass as acceptable? Please tell me it does, i'll most certainly lose sleep if not.

Anyway, i won't be getting into the petulance with you or 555 anymore. Your arguments are completely invalid and your trolling is beyond boring.

This forum really has gone to the dogs with the immature children on here.

That doesn't change the fact that the comparable Golf (R) is generally considered to be better in every quantifiable way. The WRX STi is far too expensive for what it is.

Pistonheads seem to be singing a different tune, and actually prefer the latest sti in comparison to the rest of the new era hot hatches

And the counter argument to that being "it's just some chavved up Subaru". A point which is far more commonly voiced.

Exactly starts...that's 2nd hand GTR money by the time you've got a half decent spec...for a golf!

As an out and out performance car, for the money, the Impreza will always be near the top of the list.
A lot of people just look the stats and assume that if the power is about the same then it will deliver a similar performance and that just isn't the case.

No, a diesel does not give you as much excitement as an Impreza, even though it may be quicker for 2 seconds across the rev range.

I don't get your point, the WRX STi starts at £29k so the same applies there.

You can't bring the GTR into this one. £35k cash (or painful finance repayments) gets you a dog rough GTR and enormous running costs.

£35k or a fairly affordable finance repayment gets you a brand new Golf R with warranty and much friendlier running costs, high practicality and pace to boot. And despite what people tell me, the only place you're going to struggle to keep up with a GTR in the real world is in a straight line, or on a track.

The evo x is better than the 2.5 dog engined impreza or the golf.

you can't get it new now either, so some other sucker has financed himself up to the eyeballs and took the depreciation hit and had to sell before the pcp balloon payment kicks in.

had a search online for a 2 year lease on a golf r with dsg and it worked out as follows:

intial rental of 9 months is 3k plus £200 admin fee then £335 per month with 10k mileage per year

I was talking to my mate (who is 60) the other day. He said when he test drove an Impreza he thought it was the best car he'd ever driven but looked t0o chavvy. I told him his TT was a bit too feminine for me

I do think my car looks chavvy but it doesn't stop me smiling every time I start her up. The Impreza is the only car I've owned that makes my smile every time I drive it and if I don't drive it I actually miss it.

Before I got into Imprezas I wasn't aware of how many models there were...so I think I would have been surprised to hear theres a 10 year old one worth in excess of £10k

It always makes me laugh when people put this in there for sale advert! Smile every time you start it up? Realy.. Imo that would make you a tad strange! Even if i owned an aventador after the honeymoon period turning it on and driving to work alone wouldnt make me smile

If you have a boggo standard impreza then I agree the honeymoon period does fade but once its modded to drive how you want it to drive, then it will always put a smile on your face

lol...I don't smirk like a looney. It's all about timing the mods and not doing them all in one go

So it's £8200 to borrow one for 2 years with limited milage? Presumably you'll get charged accordingly for anything over and above the quoted milage?
Sounds like a bargain to me

Yup usual pcp crap.
it's for people that can't really afford the car so pay a deposit to lose.
Dont use the car for fear of going over the mileage they are allowed to use before being charged, get to the end of the three year lease so either have to give it back or pay the silly balloon payment.
This is why you see a lot of three year old low mileage performance cars up for sale.
Basically to avoid giving it back or paying the balloon payment
