Classic rear arches

Depends which panel. If you look at those pics multiple panels are cut away/drilled out and replaced not just the outer wing. I personally would not be happy fitting a new outer wing over a load of rusty inner panels. Some of that rust is also very near to the strut and if it could be seen properly by an MOT tester may even fail.

£300 per side is way too cheap to cut in a new arch, including painting and a door blend. I would be very weary of a bodyshop only charging £300.
Please please please remember you get what you pay for in the bodywork industry. If you have seen some of their previous work and are happy with it then great you got a bargain, but if not then just be careful or you could quite easily be left with a badly fillers and badly painted new arch panel.

Yep before I understood the Impreza arch rust issues properly I paid a fairly decent body shop (I was previously happy with their work) about £400 to get rid of the rust on the outer arch and blend it in.
Two months later a small bubble appeared. Within a few more months it had bubbled worse then it was to start with. £400 wasted.

Disagree, i had a dent filled and sprayed some years back, looked better than the original, lasted for length of ownership no problems

I've looked at the blokes Facebook wall but can't see these anywhere, any idea if he's still doing them? I need to replace mine because some crazy jap has flared mine with a blindfold and circus mallet.
