No your fine to put another plate on it, I dont believe you can put the S8ECC on retention to use on another car as i was interested in buying it...I still am if it is actually available, It might be worth having a word with the DVLA if you are putting a different on on it...Then sell it to me
It might have been your mate who i asked or even the owner before that depending on how long your mate had it for.

Is it not the same as having an airbrake up all the time?

I can't imagine it will increase the drag coefficient by that much

They don't do a roof vent for the hatchback so I had to fit one off a spec c but it ended up fitting very well

If you want a roof vent buy a spec c! I'm not being horrible or anything I just think it's trying to be a wona be spec c. But hey it's everyone to there own and it's only my opinion.

There's a big price difference between the vent and a spec-c....about £10k by my reckoning

The hatchback doesn't come with a roof vent in any model so I'm hardly trying to be a spec c , I got it as I use it more than my window

Think if your using these for what there made for rather than looks then there great
In my eyes at the end of the day its no difference to big brakes/big spoilers/bucket seats and such if there functional and have a purpose they make sense not just a rip speed body kit or something which do nothing other than weight the car down.

They all look sweet some really nice looking cars

Some have aerials built into the rear screen which is much better for clean looks but I'm not sure how effective they are

They're only any use to below 50 mph, other than pose value I cant see any value in fitting one.

On my car with the OEM flap closed, wind noise starts to become a factor above 80 and is really intrusive when into three figures. I am looking into strengthening the open/close mechanism but fundamentally the air flow is trying to push the flap open so I can’t see how I can completely eradicate this.

TBH I’d rather not have the roof flap personally, as the only use I can ascertain for it is when pootling about, which I don’t do much of.

No they're not, they recommend not to open them at speeds over 50mph/80kmh...while the vehicle is moving.... I had mine open at 130mph at the ring
