Not far off what I could of got this for.

This one's been remapped to 320bhp (Ecu-tek)

Looks clean underneath, would be nice to have the longer 5th gear though!

Just waiting for cambelt to be done and I'll get it in a few days.
If its been ecutek'd then it must be a "Limited" and not a "V-Limited"

Just the difference between Subaru winning and not winning..."V" meaning Victory.

The "V-Limited" is pre Version 4, the Version 5/6 cars are just "Limited"

Thanks.
Do Type-R/RA suffer from as many bottom end failures as P1s?

Earlier ones did as the only solution back then was an aftermarket ecu such as an Apexi which many owners either didn't know about or couldn't/wouldn't afford, now with the advent of esl daughter board that's become an easier, cheaper and better solution as the Apexi wasn't as good as some of the more recent ecu's such as alcatek, although considerably better than a wing and a prayer.

Do you mean the bottom end failure was a result of detonation from imported cars that hadn't been remapped?
I thought detonation affects the pistons, or was the weakest link the bottom end back in the day?
I am possibly looking at buying a R/RA but the ones I've seen (either in the flesh or in adverts) in UK have rust and have been misadvertised (near showroom condition, been remapped but no proof etc etc.)
