The markets have reacted very positively to the exit poll:

Why? The country is basically bankrupt, the politicians are morally bankrupt and none of them will do what they say.

Given the economic position ultimately any government has to make a lot more cuts or borrow more to stave off the inevitable for a few years. The rest is just semantics and lies.

And again, if this is how you feel, you should run as an independent. Face it, could you really do any worse then those that are in it now?

A Tory win by >326 seats.

Remember where you heard it first.

Pretty accurate prediction.

Yep, Conservatives set for a narrow majority, no need for a coalition! The electorate have spoken and Labour have have been crushed.
The market confidence in the economy and the recovery grows as the GBP surges on the news!! Great day for the Conservatives and their voters.

There was never really any other option than to vote conservative, so comes as no surprise to me.

Labour are blithering idiots with a wet lettuce for a leader.

Lib-dem totally clueless with yet another wat lettuce leader.

Ukip full of ex national front / combat 18 types, their leader is slightly more credible but seriously let down by the rank and file, which leads one to question his judgement in allowing such types into his party.

A truly terrible result for the UK on the whole, but a fantastic result for Scotland. Well done the SNP, how to represent the interests of a nation in a nutshell, very impressed with them and the result up there

As for Cameron, a majority is a terrible shame as at least with a coalition there was a chance to keep the lid on his nonsense not that the Lib Dems ever managed that. Glad they have been removed from the political spectrum ... that's what you get for selling out your principles for a bit of power.

All that said I guess a Conservative majority was on the cards seeing as these days this nation is made up of an awful lot of self centred, greed driven and in many cases morally bankrupt people with no ability to see beyond the short term.

It will be funny watching Cameron wriggle out of his EU referendum or at least not implementing the result if it goes against him. It will also be funny watching the SNP make his life very difficult over Scotland.

With 50% of the vote (bear in mind the Tories only have around 35% and will still be 'in power') and nearly all of the seats Scotland will get another referendum in time and this time it may well go the other way!

DOubt it considering it was a one time deal.

you have to accept that the majority in scotland want to remain part of the UK. Thats not based on me mates down that pub, thats based on an actual vote

I wouldn't be so sure about that now. I'm not Scottish (sadly as they are a far better nation than the English), but I feel that since the referendum a sense of 'we could actually have done this' has crept in and the rise and rise of the SNP since the referendum might hint towards that.

At the end of the day they have indicated very very strongly they don't want Labour and certainly don't want the Tories. As I said, a very astute nation

It's not that bad, greece is in a much worse position.

But the UK isn't reliant on oil revenues, scotland would be and not sure what the break even point is on the scotish reserves.
