The Labour party paid the price with their alignment with the SNP - The English electorate read it perfectly and snuffed out the toxic threat from the union of the Labour party and the SNP.

Comparing our situation to that of another sh1tty nation doesn't really make our absolute situation any better.

At the end of the day the Tories and the SNP are about as far a part as two parties could be and Sturgeon and Cameron about as different as two people could be. Can they and the two nations find a way to live and work together now..... I doubt it!

And you have to feel sorry for the Scots, now trapped by a UK government they almost completely and universally rejected!

English people are feeling uncomfortable with the SNP and the potential instability of a hung parliament . So

A Tory win by >326 seats.

Remember where you heard it first.

When? Nothing will ever rise in this country as the English are too wet to ever actually do anything about their plight other than posting on Facebook and voting Tory

You need to look to proper nations like France and Australia to see how people power can make things happen.

PS It's you're not your!

We will see a Blue government for the next two to three terms now, if not longer. Scotland will try to become an independent state. Future mass immigration will take away resources from the people already in this country, , vicious zero hour contracts that are causing people to starve will grow, and foreign investment in property will continue to create a further housing shortage and make it more impossible for normal people to buy houses.

The future is bleak, the future is blue.

As for Cameron, a majority is a terrible shame as at least with a coalition there was a chance to keep the lid on his nonsense not that the Lib Dems ever managed that. Glad they have been removed from the political spectrum ... that's what you get for selling out your principles for a bit of power.

All that said I guess a Conservative majority was on the cards seeing as these days this nation is made up of an awful lot of self centred, greed driven and in many cases morally bankrupt people with no ability to see beyond the short term.

It will be funny watching Cameron wriggle out of his EU referendum or at least not implementing the result if it goes against him. It will also be funny watching the SNP make his life very difficult over Scotland.
Suck it up.

Not quite all of that is correct, but most of it is. I never thought we'd see eye to eye on much, but this time is a welcome exception. Good post

What a fantastic result, other than UKIP not getting more seats

at SNP as they hate the Tories yet it is their success and the threat of them sucking up to Labour to get in power that has helped the Conservatives do so well.

Well done Sturgeon, thanks for the helping hand

Bitter-sweet for me chap, and I'm happy to laud the Cons.

I'm more anti-Labour than I am pro-UKIP as you may have deciphered.

Is 1 seat and 4,000,000 votes worse than 5+ seats and 2,000,000 votes?
