And what is your point?
I voted Conservative so overall am pleased with the result, but with regard to votes cast how anyone can look at the result for the SNP versus that for UKIP and think that's fair requires an explanation. You couldn't make a better argument for P.R.

According to your maths an M.P. in Scotland has equated to less than 36000 votes each.
UKIP got one for 4,000,000 votes.
Boundaries and F.P.T.P. have seen you alright by every measure.
The SNP have an entirely disproportianate influence per head of population, much as Scottish Labour did before they came along.
But I'll stop now as the poor old Scots are so hard done by.

Circa 60million people in the UK 650 seats Scotland 6 million 59 seats UKIP is akin to SNP, it almost maxed out on its seats unlike UKIP with its 1 seat. Nicola Sturgeon missed a trick she should have dropped a few MP candidates in the north east of England as anything north of Croydon is a burden on Westminster. If the SNP had won 56 seats out of 650 but they won 56 out of 59 entered.

Lisa Lib Dems had circa 650 candidates UKIP 490 SNP had 59 so they had no lost votes south of the border crude maths say every seat had 1,000,000 voters and cons won 34% labour 30% and UKIP 13% and others 23% the reality is they were 3rd of the losing votes always behind cons and labour as where the SNP had 50% labour 30% and others 20% out of the ONLY 59 seats entered as apposed to UKIP entering 490 seats.

Everyone in my family and that I know works and contributes to society but you are better thought of in this country if you come from a minority group of sponging foreign f*ckers because you tick the EU boxes.
If Nicola Sturgeon and SNP were running UKIP things might be different but we are blessed with 5 years of austerity cuts and scare mongering bank all spend nothing under the Tory's, wonder who this benefit this ?.
I wont tell you who I work for but they never paid a penny tax and used the tax break to build state of the art factory's abroad and ship the work there then decided to pay off circa 3,000 UK hard working employees who are working in aging factory's and failing equipment that have made them a massive profit . Then have the audacity to send us on ethics training.
I despise America but America looks after America they will tax big company's and use the money to subsidise the company's that they have taxed. But in the UK we thinks its acceptable to let them off with tax so they can invest abroad to satisfy the mega rich shareholder and make them richer and let them pay only 5% more tax than the person that sweats to provide for them. Rant mode off

PR will never get a chance here while the biggest beneficiaries of it are the two main parties.
Clegg sold out the only realistic chance we had of getting it changed for a bit of power.... glad to see his party are now over as he and all of his MPs deserve everything they get and more. Cameron is utter scum in my eyes, but Clegg is even worse. Despicable little weasel!

Basically UKIP polled strong across the board but not enough to replace regional favourites. A lot of areas see people becoming friends or reliant on MP's and or Councillors so it becomes an allegiance. It's a bit like supporting a football team.
IMO it bodes better for UKIP that they did well in most areas and didn't just poll well in a few target seats. I.e 5-10 seats with 1,000,000 votes Nationwide is not as good in the long term as 1 seat and 4,000,000 votes.
It still seems strange and unfair that going on 13% of the UK aren't really represented in the HOC. I'm not sure what's the highest percentage a Party could get without getting seats.
How many 2nd places did UKIP get? I've read both 50 and 108 to date :/
