P1 vs Type R

considering a terzo is just a repainted uk turbo then its not really that different, it's only the P1 that is mechanicaly allot different to its base car

That was a good read for the last half hour,I own a v4 type r and have never drove a p1 but when I see a p1 I look at it with the same enthusiasm as when I look at my own car!when I go for a B road blast over the lumps and bumps(Cusco coilovers) I wish I have something with a bit more of a uk suspension set up.
But then I come across a nice fresh/flat road and round abouts and I'm grinning from ear to ear again

back in the year 2000 if you wanted a uk Subaru you had the choice of a uk turbo 2000 or P1. I can't see how a comparison can be made between a type r and P1 only that they come from sti5 platform. its like trying to compare a jdm spec c with new age.
I bought a p1 because I wanted a uk car with warranty. would have loved a type r if they were readily available at the time.
good read though nearly as good as blues v villa

You know I'm only pulling your leg Yep mods pretty much done, though I am contemplating re piping the wastegates and adjusting the meth map for 2.2 bar when the weather improves but see how things play out as it is for sale

always wanted a 3dr wasent bothered weather it was a p1 or the type r it was just a 3dr thing. i have a v5 type r sti v-limited, i stripped it to a bare shell and chucked a 54 plate blob sti at it. dash looms subframes gearbox engine servos brakes arms hubs the fecking lot. 2.1 stroker twin scroll bigport avcs heads with supertec guides valves stem seals with 3 angle cut valves/seats
all arches cut and abw arches fitted.
i have the best 3dr cos its mine and i built it, with tim farmers help lol.
always loved 3dr scoobs,
i find the p1 as a collectors car and a type r as drivers car, makes no difference too me now lol i got a newage 3dr lol.

Having driven a type R and owned a P1 for many years I can safely say I made the correct choice.
At the time it was my daily commuter and a pleasure to drive.
The Type R was a pain with such a short gearbox.
Ive said it before and I will say it again, Type R for the track, P1 for the roads.
I believe the P1 will be the more collectible in the future also, they are on the verge of jumping up in price much like the Escos did and similar rare models.
By the way, whilst I touch wood I'm on the original engine with 70k on the clock

It made a ridiculous price of £18600 on the hammer.
There really are some fools out there
