They are only trying to help, i can guarantee your car wont last long in track conditions unless you spend a fair amout on it, that 2k worth of car will expire quickly in a cloud of smoke been there done it, ended up spending ££££ on it to keep it in one piece when i should have spent some money on it before taking it on track

It's a learning curve if it costs me another few grand then so be it the fun part is modding the car and learning along the way I've no labour costs so saving right away. I appreciate everyone's help on a classic which parts would be better suited types of brakes & suspension etc. Thanks in advance

Well if you're serious about it then you want a set of AP racing 4pot's as a minimum, but you'll be wanting to make sure they have good discs and pads if you buy second hand, there not cheap mind you'll be looking at between £7/900. Plus a set of 17 inch wheels that clear them.
Some will advise brembo's but they cost around £500 mark but they're not as good and by the time you've sorted them out, they'll probably stand you at the same as a set of AP's, also AP's hold their money.

You can have my spare UK Turbo 2000 if you want. MOT expires next week, needs new exhaust as it's full de-cat, no service history, badly in need of a full service, slight bottom end knock, engine light comes on and makes the car laggy, front pads need replacing in the next 100 miles, bonnet scoop flaps over 60mph due to pins missing.
No rust on the rear arches though lol.

You'll maybe get one track day out of a 2 grand Impreza before it ***** it's guts all over the road.
Then it'll be another 2 grand to rebuild it or take a chance on a £500 engine and hope it last you another track day or two.
Take the advice from the people who know fella, it'll save you a fortune.
