The cost made my eyes water to be honest, i think it worked out at about £1700 all in.....once you include the shipping, taxes, vat etc! Thats before fitting etc, as they arent a straight fit to a UK car either, as we have extra bits on our engines that they dont in the states lol!

I don't know. The manifolds on a turbo car can make or break it. Think of those toyosports ones that lost 25hp yet are a copy of the gt spec ones.
Manifold design on scoobies seems to have just stopped, they are all the same design and everyone is just using the RCM etcones. In the states no one uses UEL headers because none of them can match a set of EL, in terms of peak figures, figures under the line, drivability etc.
Then you have companies like KillerB who ctually go out and do back to back testing to prove it. When was the last time you saw. RCM go out and test their manifolds against say the GT Specs etc. To show how great they are? They don't, because they are copies of an old design, that just kind of works, yet hasn't been advanced at all in the last 10yrs.... Uk tuning is so far behind the US.
I know I rave on about the killer b headers (and I will call them headers, as they came from the states) but unless you had driven my car before and after you would not beleieve the difference they made. To be able to feel a noticable change on 500+hp in the way it drives shows how much of a difference they did make.
EL is the way forward if you want the absolute best, no doubt in my mind

Car will only be as good as the weakest component no mater what it is

I have the RCM EQUAL LENGTH MANIFOLD & UPPIPE SS and the noise just isn't doing it for me.
When i get the final map i need to see how much i actually gain with that manifold and weather it warrants keeping it our going for a different one for the noise.

Okay, so one has got to be really committed/into it to take the plunge.
Many thanks for your time.
(BTW I've built up a decent bank balance of late (hardly go out/spend ), so am not necessarily ruling out doing it myself. )

When you say UK tuning do you include Europe and Japan as thats where most of our stuff comes from?
love your language logic, so your saying you have to use the same words that the country that you bought it from uses? In that reasoning if i buy a cheap Chinese exhaust manifold i will have to call it a (Pái qì qí guǎn)

What planet are you on? LOL. Why are we even talking about language? I am actually using the name given to the part by the manufacturer
Any engine is as weak as its weakest component Tidgy, of course. But there is still nothing that can compare to a EL manifold... And cheap copies, the RCM ones are copies of copies, they arent exactly a "new design", some copies are better than others, but its still not the best you can get
Joz, feel free to PM me if you have any queries etc, you would not regret spending the money that is for sure
