Hi guys,
After a busy month and 1300 miles covered I thought I'd post an update.
It now sounds like a scoob should after a trip to Chesterfield for a miltek cat back and a full waxoyl underseal.
I also drove to Lincoln to Jim White who is brilliant at what he does and I'd thoroughly recommend for a new car prep.
Overall really enjoying the car and would make the same decision in a heartbeat.
The amount of envious looks you get never gets old
Thanks for looking!
New Miltek system from Scooby Clinic.
A trip to Jim White.
Made a friend at Newman and Reidy Subaru.

Hi Chris,
I went to Newman and Reidy as they offered me the best price through carwow when I came to purchase.
About an hours drive but they are a great bunch there and I have a service plan with them so have no problem going a bit further. There are some great country roads on the way too

Stateside Innovative Tuning claim if you get a 2.5 lump with good tolerances then it can take big power over a time. To quote the garage owner: "this engine has easily seen 2-3 years worth of abuse if not more."
Another US tuner claims the 2.5 is a cracking lump but acknowledges there are a few with too tight tolerances from the factory and say most failings are from poor tuning, crap fuel, being thrashed in the bedding in period, maintenance and the heat from the headers, up-pipe, turbo and downpipe effecting 1 cylinder more than the others. (probably not as common a failing in the UK due to our lower weather temperatures.)

Ironically the 2008 2.5 Just holds the record for fastest stock Bottom end and fastest VF quipped Impreza. Over 700bhp when it pulled a 9.9 @139mph

Looks fantastic! Very good choice
What did you do to the badges? Are you keeping or planning to sell them?

That looks really good in white... I've just about ordered one in black after spending months agonising over the decision... now you've gone and confused me again!!
Love the exhaust surrounds tho, might have to get those.
Just out of interest, how to do rate the starlink? and how easy is the gearknob to remove!!? really dont like the red top, much prefered the one on my hatch.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the late reply, haven't been on for a while and I didn't get the usual email notification.
Keeping everything that's standard just incase of future need/want.
The rear camera unit isn't applicable with the starlink system currently. I like it, as said by bio ferret basic but far less basic than the system that was in it previously. I like how I can have my texts read to me and bluetooth system works well for music/phone.
Have done 2.5k now and still really enjoy the car. So many looks from people and feels special to me every time I drive it.
Hope you all had a great Christmas.
Rob

Just picked mine up yesterday.. so far so good apart from it looks like the underside of the front bumper has been damaged when unloaded from a truck..
Also, the drivers door card seems to be making a slight squeak.. just enough to be annoying in my right ear!

Was never a fan of black wheels, even less so on a black car.

Would love to see the gold wheels fitted, actually prefer those wheels but don't think they'd work on my car.
Waxil-I think it looks great. I couldn't decide between White and Black, I think it looks really stealthy! Thumbs up from me!
