your credentials sound good.. ..I have also been in the motor trade for 33 years repairing and restoring vehicles.. If there is a prob with the clutch you gonna have to pull the box again anyway... modifying the pushrod is just kickin the can down the road... temporary solutions dont fix the root of the prob in the long term..Once used your unlikely to get ya money back on the clutch as well....

 

Just get CC to come remove it and change it, if it is their fault....

 

Agre, I shouldn't have to modify anything. What if it comes and I fit another set up.
I'll cross bridge when I'm further on project.

Update:
Well got car started and drove in car park with very bad slip in first gear just setting off, litterly 2 yards of driving.
Looks like I need to contact supplier tmr and see where we go from here as needs to come out at my cost!

I have had a similar situation. Made the mistake of pushing the release bearing into the pressure plate before fitting the slave cylinder, well someone else did. I had to pull the fork towards the front of the engine to fit the slave, it wouldn't fit otherwise. So got it all fitted, short test drive and no slip but didn't have it on any real boost. Biting point is about an inch off the floor! Will see how it fairs when it gets mapped on the 8th January.

 

when I had the same issue as your havin.. a new pressure plate cured it.. clutch is now fine..been back on the road 6 weeks.

 

Not sure about the release bearing into plate as I didn't fit it, but exactly the same procedure to fit slave (you shouldn't need to do this though.
Result for me is terrible slip upon testing
Im now reluctant to fit same clutch as im not stripping it for the 3rd time.
Could of had my car back after 6 months of building.
Is it likely theres an issue with flywheel as thats a new competition clutch too, just wondering to send whole lot back as I don't know where the issue is

 

I originally purchased a CC clutch. Sent it back as the quality and fit were poor. Exedy pink in it now..
Keep the standard flywheel.. I have refitted an Oem stock subaru back in mine. Got rid of the steel lightweight billet one.. forgot how much better the car drives with the standard flywheel.
Launches better too due to the stored up torque In its bigger Mass.
