Why?
The twin scrolls are far better and sound nicer tbh, they have the proper rally car sound because the rally cars use equal length headers, just like the twin scrolls
Having owned one of the first twin scroll cars in the country back in 2004, I can say that I prefer the sound of them to the "burble", they do actually burble slightly if you listen carefully but have a much nicer roar when giving it some beans

I might sell my jdm widetrack to someone as yourselves who would appreciate the twinscroll and buy a uk as it would be cheaper than getting another setup next year

Hence the reason I purchased an exhaust with a resonated center section, you dont need loud exhausts on spec c's because you have no sound proofing so you hear everything anyway, and it tires you out on any journey longer than a quick pop down the shops (oh and I hope you had it remapped for that decat )

The issue being the standard v5 idle control valve can follow more air so you get much better pops and bangs, the newage one is poor in comparison. There is ways to remedy by fitting another iscv (bosch one from memory) and wiring it in but just not got round to chasing it up

Bumping this back up as I am looking for a decat downpipe for the spec C, 3" all the way as have a cat back on that I'm happy with but will modify the front flange to suit.
Can anyone recommend one that isn't offensively expensive?

True indeed but I'm a cruiser and hardly ever boot my scoob at all mpolishing and waxing more than driving it, so I really love the raw loudness of the unequal length when I'm cruising the equal length do still have the burble slightly and I do appreciate the reason behind it all but my personal preference is to be like Godzilla my last uk sti was mental

Exhausts on twin scroll I found it hard to get the sound I liked once I fitted decat. For me wanting to keep it full 3" I have a classic reworked hks super dragger. I class it as somewhere in the middle sound wise same with the als not crazy bangs but good enough.
