Yep, It's about time criminals got proper punishment.

A bloke in Saudi got 12 months and should have got 350 lashes because he had some home brew. It's against their law and he got their punishment. http://www.theguardian.com/world/201...-david-cameron

What are criminals scared of over here? not the punishments that get handed out, that's why so many take the ****.
Shoplifting? caution or after being caught 100 times they might get unpaid work.
Driving without a licence or insurance, speeding, crashing? suspended sentence
Growing weed? get caught with 80 plants and get let off due to insufficient evidence
Most normal drivers get ridiculous punishments for minor things, 3 points for doing 36mph in a 30 zone. So you can lose your licence getting caught straying over the limit 4 times in 3 years. Lose your licence, job, house, marriage, friends. Do they offer to give speeders free track days? they give druggies free methadone

I agree with this statement -
Knife = Life
Gun = Hung

so is it ok for druggies to go out shoplifting (stealing from honest businesses) to buy illegal drugs (smuggled or grown illegally) with profits from crime?

should honest business owners have to put up with it, and have to put their prices up for the honest shopper to cover the loss buy shoplifters

or

should criminals be punished accordingly?

methadone is given to people because opiates are physically addictive. They get sick without it so go shop lifting etc.

And your comparing that to people getting flashed by speedcams..

Both Nothing to do with the original video. Thats clearly just some pikeys causing mayhem. That deserve to be locked up i agree
