I like to think that I am a pretty open minded, accepting sort of chap, I certainly feel the pain of others and have empathy for those that are running from persecution or have a desire to make a better life for them self and their loved ones.
But, I think that the time has come that you have to put you and yours above all others and if that means that we have to turn our back on those wishing to come here then I think that is what we need to do, have signed the petition, something that I probably would not have done this time yesterday.
Was at a works do on Park Lane last night when the news broke, was a real shock and driving through central London this morning there was a real police presence that felt a little uncomfortable. We were going to go shopping on Oxford Street but decided to head home instead, which is pretty irrational really, but felt good getting home to our daughter.
Ditch, would like to think that I would have the minerals to stand and fight as well, but you never know until you are in that situation, hope neither of us ever have to find out, but fear that many more will have to.

"Jeremy Corbyn says this is an attack on the vibrant multicultural cities we all know and love. No, Jeremy, it isn't. It isn't. You stupid man. It's an attack on France, on French sensibilities and the French way of life."

We need to close our borders straight away
We need To the half the 12 billion foreign aid budget and divert the money towards
Police
Security
Mi5
The army general
Cameron needs to all EU members armies to unite and join putins so they can share knowledge and epertise
And let them follow putins example of tackling the problem at source
Muslims have been very quite on the media although reports coming through on fb say many are celebrating the paris murders
The mosques should be monitored and any race hate and stirrers should be put ona plane with a one way ticket out if the uk
There will be retaliations in this country at local level with Muslim beating by the first Britain /bnf thugs so the Muslims will fight back with a beheading which will really cause civil war in this country as feeling are running high
I'm afraid a terrorist strike in this county is iminant as there will be major plots someware being finalised
Cameron says we must show vigilance
Putin takes a better way forward
At least we don't have Jermany in charge of the country or nothing would happen

If you seriously believe that claim with nothing to back it up, I'm not the one who is naive here. I only deal in facts and the "90% of Syrian refugees are young men" isn't one of them. It's a typical unsubstantiated emotive kneejerk reaction which does nothing but fuel hysteria to what is fast becoming a macabre circus.

Quote....This briefing sets out key facts and figures, as well as information gaps, relating to the number of asylum seekers applying to stay in the UK, who these asylum seekers are, how many are rejected, what the overall impacts of asylum seekers are on UK migration statistics and what happens to asylum seekers after their applications have been processe
Men made up nearly 3 out of 4 (73%) main applicants for asylum in 2014.

The extremists must be sleeping well tonight.
On the 90% thing; a large part of his argument was predicated on this 'fact'. This should tell us all we need to know about basis of his position.
Once more anti-knowledge is used to justify intolerance

I look on in utter horror at some of this knee jerk reaction.

But IF every world leader declare war on ISIS and their sympathisers and anyone protecting them, trust me they would not be sleeping well tonight.
Take bin laden he was a shell of a man hiding like a coward when they caught up with him. Easy to hunt not so easy when you are being hunted.
PS did you read the FACTS that you so desired ?.

For a few of the doubters 73% in 2014,it could well be nearer 90% with the mass exodus of 2015

It's not hard though is it? How is the purpose of this forum an excuse for bad grammar and spelling?

This was a terrorist attack with 129 dead and is set to rise with 99 in critical condition and 350 or so with injuries. Despite the lack of any evidence why are you trying to turn this into a migration crisis issue? We have no idea of the origin of the killers and yet you're so quick to condem and blame migrants.
I can understand the fear of not wanting to "import" potential terrorists, but the Charlie Hebdo attackers were home grown, Lee Rigby attackers - home grown, London tube bombers - home grown, Boston bombers - home grown. Based on that should all muslims be deported? Let's not jump to conclusions.

No, what you said to me was 90% of Syrian refugees were young males, nothing about it being "all migration", there's a big difference. Even then you still have no evidence that 90% of all migrants to this country are young males. ![Facepalm](images/smilies/facepalm.gif)
