Hate to say it but no one person on this forum who owns a vortex generator, took thier car out and thought "hell this things lively I need aero"
Then added the vortex generator and thought "yep that's what it was, my aero is now noticeably improved
They have them because they think it looks cool.
Same type of people who love monster energy decals!
All this stuff is tacky and generally lowers the tone of the marque, thus why a lot of people look down their nose at subarus

I purchased my Perrin Wing stiffi on exactly that priciple....
At speed in the rear view mirror I could see the wing flexing up and down.
Purchased the stiffies fitted them, now I can't see any flex.
I do appolgise for lowering the marques tone by doing this to MY car

I used to quite like a nice stiffi and was very tempted to get a stiffi at one stage. Thankfully now I'm older, wiser, have kids, no money and no time the wife doesn't think we need a stiffi. Ultimately I'm glad my lust for a stiffi was short lived.
Very early on in my impreza owning years I quite liked the vortex generators too. Then I realised I didn't own an Evo and they looked crap IMO. That was a lucky escape! I actually went for a small window mounted rear window spoiler on mine instead in real carbon fibre to match my carbon STI rear wing. Again, not to everyones taste I'm sure but everyone should be allowed to screw up their own cars however they want!

As for lowering the tone of the marque. seriously? Long lost rally heritage aside, the tone of the marque couldn't get much lower.

Hey guys What about front splitters as I've never got round to put one on yet is that Included in the stick on section of the chavs as is the stiffies?? As I fancy one for my blob after I've had the spec c burger flap installed next year don't get me wrong I'm still having one on dipped in carbon, just wondering on the opinions generated

Front splitter = essential. The end.
Although personally I'd never buy a carbon one as they all end up looking like the above eventually.
I have a plastic one on mine, has hit the kerb more times than I can count, been bent, scratched, re-bent, damaged some more and still looks as good as they day I fitted it. Very forgiving in black plastic. I've also wafted some Hellfrauds satin black paint over it when it started to show too many scratches and looks like new again now.

That's my 3rd one , had 2 HTA ones on the blob, both ended up in the bin and I forgot how low this car was...about an inch lower than my last hence ^^
In fact the best most durable one I had was the OEM 3 piece on on my bug years back, all the aftermarket ones are pretty **** poor for impact damage
