Sounds like my M135i !!
It's not snowing where you are is it?
I used to have trouble getting my Spec D running over 330PS and 470Nm to lose traction in the wet when pulling away.
One thing I would add however, is that the original PPP map was extremely sensitive at low throttle settings and needed more revs than you would normally expect to be able to pull away without stalling.
Even my previous Classic (280PS) only spun the wheels briefly in the wet after side stepping the clutch at 4-5000 ish revs.
Something very wrong - but I guess you know that.

So to update you I took it to the garage. I had them check the tyre pressure all round as well as per door guide (ifyswim) They drove it and found no clutch issue. To be fair to the guy driving he was a very careful chap and it was a bit like driving Ms Daisy
Doing a bit more investigation.. Wheelspin kicks in at 1100 RPM in first. Let me put it into context, I got overtaken by a Yaris whilst trying to start without wheelspinning

Surely the problem would of been seen by the mechanic if it's happening at such low rpm.
That doesnt make sense, 1100-1500 rpm is basically just pulling away normally.
Sure you not getting wheel spin confused with something else?

have you had the wheel alignment checked? when I got my bug the alignment was all over the shop - particularly at the rear end. Car drove like a RWD it was really difficult to take off and keep a straight line or hold a corner.
Following a proper 4 wheel geo setup it was on rails if your car's a 2.5 they should be able to slow the throttle pedal down a bit which might help - could it be you just have heavy feet?
