Tim left school at 18 after completing A-levels and immediately set about growing an online electronics retail business that developed into a London high-street shop. The business quickly changed hands and he traveled abroad training to become a ski instructor before teaching the sport in New Zealand. Following the effects of a major injury Tim returned to the UK and set to work with a permanent position in the technology team of an Investment Consultancy in the City of London. This proved to be hugely decisive while working in a successful and rapidly developing company in terms of the experience and drive to succeed going forward.
During this period Tim’s love for cars developed beyond just posting pictures of car spots on internet forums, into the ever-expanding Shmee150 platforms and those surrounding it. He took the decision to make the move away from a full time position to being able to spend time across various connected platforms to the supercar video theme; from freelance video and media work to involvement in car events and sourcing for promotional purposes. Who knows, in a year he may be doing something completely different! He will endeavour to remain self-employed as it is what enables him to take the time to follow his passions in life; supercars and travelling.
200287_1004891528424_2671_nTo be a little more precise, during 2013 Tim undertook some freelance tasks for a tech company under Non-Disclosure Agreement, some catalogue work for an auction company, got involved in a few car sourcing/commission operations, some social media consultancy tasks and ran a few websites in the car world that you know about including Shmee150 and The Supercar Kids. Being a young guy with no wife or children as dependants it allows him the opportunities to operate around the hours and timings he wants to spend the rest of the time around cars – which you can’t beat!
The regular trigger for this question is purely from the perspective of ‘owning a supercar’, but the simple fact is that there isn’t one single career path that is the only way to own the car of your dreams. The question is often asked with an assumption that a single word will be the answer, but in almost any career it’s possible; whether you choose business, television, finance, sport, law or anything else.
At the end of the day, the steps Tim as an entrepreneur has taken personally to get where he is won’t necessarily work for someone else. He started doing his own thing from the age of 18 and the small businesses he has created can’t just be replicated at the click of one’s fingers. The trick is doing what you enjoy and working hard at it, being happy is the most important aspe

Im sure he made millions selling mobile phone cases in his 1x London high street shop that mommy and daddy help set up, The rent/rates alone would eat into his profits and you would have to sell a lot of bloody phone cases to make a good profit!!!
He tries to make out that he is some entrepreneur, But how many kids who grow up going to Public school end up being Ski instructors?? None!!!! I bet he went to a school where the fees where £15-20k a year to goto that his family paid for as they are too very wealthy!!!

TBH I'm not bothered what background the new presenters have but I'd love to know how much money Shmee makes from youtube ads with his regular blogs ammasing 1,000's of views within minutes.

You Tube dont pay for how many subscribers you have, but they pay for how many views a advert gets which if I remember works out at about £2 for every 1000 views, Not enough to buy nearly a £million quids worth of supercars!!

I'm just having a play at the moment with adsense, I only average 24 views a day so I'm not getting a penny, Shmee's mate makes out his channel helped pay for his Lambo and he gets half the views (ad clicks etc) of Shmee

not at all i dont think he,d be great if he was brought up on a council estate in manchester. at least chris evans will bring some fun to top gear, im really enjoying TFI friday being back on and they might bring some of that sillyness to top gear for the challenges etc like clarkson an co. used to do.

By the way, can we stop calling him shmee? It's a fkucing stupid nickname and to be honest makes him sound like even more of a total co*ktard than I suspect he already is. He just looks like a *** before he even opens his mouth.
That said, I won't be watching Top Gear now Chris-effing-Evens is on it! Give me strength!

I like this popular car blogger too, even though he owns a 2014 STI
Hmm, 305hp STI is a substantial half a second slower to 60 than the 265hp WRX. So basically the WRX mapped to the same power and we'd be seeing 4.5 for the WRX and 5.5 for the STI, lmfao
Night and day.
Engineering Explained 2 weeks ago
+Marek Sumguy Car and Driver has them both at 4.8 seconds in their testing. In my testing the WRX was about 5 seconds, STI 5.5. So in that sense, they were not the same. STI has an extra gearshift taking away time, but I prefer the more aggressive gearing of the STI.

Now that is worthy of a ban!
Clarkson was a puppet. God knows who was pulling the strings of that show to penalise JDM sales and increase Alfa's success ETC.
It's like on this forum, traders have shaped an anti-WRX community as there's more money selling things like the £1620 SC42 to STI fanboys than £70 used TD05's to "impoverished" WRX owners.
