BPR, you can make more selling Alcon 6 pots then used Brembos.

Why the hell should the traders/tuners confirm what I've been saying.

Deal with it.

This place never changes. I barely come on here and I've read 2 threads this morning. One argument about WRX vs STI and the other where one member is accusing the other of racism lol.

Yes, I shall **** off as I don't like it...

And then the one being accused of being racist (or at the very least culturally insensitive ) tried to turn that one into a WRX vs STI debate until Ali locked it.

Basically anything goes on SN, apart from stating at any time that the WRX is "faster, better geared, lighter, more power efficient, better on fuel and has better drag coefficiency."

"Poverty spec"
"Should have bought an STI"
"STI envy"
"**** brakes"
"**** gearbox"
"**** handling"

These patronising remarks are fine in every WRX related thread though as they keep our traders happy. WRX owners upgrade to used STI parts, STI owners upgrade to new parts hence how the forum mentality has been shaped. Even WRX owners on here are self-mocking, apart from those who know big power and strong components don't make a fast machine.

I'd take Andy Forrest's WRX or my mates R1 any day of the week over a 2001-2015 STI

And Brownpants, stop telling every classic owner that Newage 4 pots are a good upgrade for their cars then telling me my uprated 4 pot brakes are crap in a Newage that is as light as a classic. IT'S NUTS!!!!

And no, I won't race 500bhp classics around an handling course to prove my "stripped" Newage WRX is much faster to 1/4 mile than a Newage STI with 20% more power.

You're a ****ing moron.... no one wants to race you, we want proof of your claims. Which will never happen because it's either not possible or you are too ***** to go set the times you claim can be done.

Totb isn't just a handling course you don't even have to do that bit..... not that it matters, you have been called out and found out. Matty big ***** is actually Matty no ***** and won't go prove his claims.....

Put up or **** off back to what ever mental home let you out of your jacket for the day....

No offense Matt, but you really are a complete tool.

Newage WRX brakes are a very good upgrade to classic models. Yes, there are much better brakes out there for the classic if you are prepared to spend some money, but for cheap second hand parts they are a significant improvement over the old classic setup. This has been an acknowledged upgrade for years and I sold my old WRX brakes to a very happy classic owner.

The real point being, I sold my WRX newage brakes on because they were woefully inadequate for my newage car. They showed extreme brake fade on the heavier WRX newage model and even after doing every upgrade possible it was left with no option but to upgrade to STI brembos to make the car SAFE again!

Remind me what brakes you are running on your DANGEROUS newage upgraded WRX please?

You total tool.

Go away and spend some money on your car to make it safe again, make it go a little faster and then put your money where your trolling mouth is and actually lay down some proof that your car is the fastest thing on the planet.

Until then, either get yourself banned again of shut the F up.

No offense.

My word that guy is boring, you need entertaining people, Jeremy Clarkson has always had a nack for it, less so in his early years. Fifth gear proved you needed more than ex racing car drivers, you need people with the gift of the gab. This guy does not have it, and makes driving a super car sound boring.

Eh? newage as light as a classic?? wtf you're clearly nuts.

Newage WRXs are at least 150-170 kilos heavier than classics in curb weight, that's quite a lot

He's got 2.15 million subscribers now and nearly a billion views, had a show on SKY TV, released a popular supercars book. He did have 3 other presenters at one stage but then all of a sudden he stopped branching out and just went back to just doing youtube vids solo.

Enthusiastic amature becomes sherlock holmes and video expert,,,,

There is confirmed telemetry data which i would take over an opinion on a video.

Enthusiastic amateur making a killing doing exactly what he wants who now owns a garage full of exotica...

No confirmed data; just confusion and creation of an exit strategy by the manufacturer now they have been found out?

No confirmed data, they lied. Shmee found them out and continues to do so even after SSC released a video clearing things up.

Shmee has also been able to shoot some Motoring Publications down too, Motor Trend especially. Tim is a smart man who does his research.

I believe they said it's been sent off for verification as far as im aware (i may have missed something so it could have been updated).

They have said they are going to redo the run so must be pretty confident they can do it.

You realise watching a confirmed edited video doesnt tell you anything, amature or expert?

I have a feeling many peers in the Car world don't think a rerun will happen.

Shmee, Robert and Misha have actually done a spectrogram to prove the gear changes correspond to their opinion the gearing will not get the car to 331mph in 6th gear.
