Apart from the fact that the link to the info page on the STI dont work (you have to copy the last part of the link as otherwise it links to a file on the desktop.

There is no saying of what the power output is!

LP, the draw date, as stated in the terms and conditions will be when the required number of tickets (in the case of the scoob draw, 2000) are sold.
So you're saying there is no fixed draw date ?

if the tickets sales arent reached, a full refund will be given to all who entered.
but if there is no fixed draw date, when is it decided that sales aren't reached ?

DB: obviously we would only carry it on for a reasonable amount of time (I think you can probably appreciate its hard to define) if neccesary, at a later date, this >>could<< be put to vote of those who have already bought a ticket as to wether to carry on.

I still think this represents a better deal to the participant than a draw closing on "x" date where they dont know what their odds are.

RM: when the page on the STi FIRST loads (when clicking through from the main Subaru home page), there is a flash presentation that clearly states the PS in the first piece of info.

Well I've bit the bullet and entered, as you say you’ve got to be in it to win it.

I'm entering as well. Only way to win!

You should have a mix of cars, some people will find £50 a ticket too steep. But a lot will quite happily go for £15-30 occasionally.

Good idea

I was gonna do that one for a Ferrari in Heathrow once, and had me cash in me hand. They then told me to put a cross where I thought the ball was, and so I walked. I'm happy to take my chances in winning, but not when it comes down to someone who knows more about cricket than me (i.e has actually watched a match) having a better chance of winning for the same stake. Bollox to that for me £100! All to be equal, and first out of the hat would have been fairer.

Top Prize

I take it back you are correct however the other two answers to your questions are on your webpage and the power rating one is not. Thats why i queried!

RM: Yep, can see the confusion now, our apolgies for that.

LP: Thanks for the input there, you can also vote on the next prize in the "Future Competitions" section

Diesel: that exactly what put me off the Heathrow one, Im cr** at sport, so the car based quiz seemed fairer
(and more appropriate to the prizes on offer!)

Cheers,

TP

Just a note to say that this has moved from 10% sold to 12% sold now, so that's an extra 40 tickets sold

OK, I've just entered, but I haven't had any confirmation through other than the Worldpay receipt. The session ended at the Worldpay page.

How/when do you get the confirmation email, and should the session "end" at worldpay?

Cheers,
Nick.

The session ends at worldpay (very annoying for us) as for the email, the worldpay confirmation mail should have a part in it from us "dear enthusiast......" etc.

Ah, I had assumed that TopPrize and the Heathrow/Gatwick/et al ones were the same people. Mainly because this thread coincided with my reading about the Heathrow/Gatwick ones in an ad in the back of this month's Evo.

Are you and they not the same, then?

Please check back to Top Prize UK regularly
to see information on the current competition, as well as news about

Top Prize,
I think the idea and your interpretation of it into a web site is great - who cares about mistakes on the site as long as you live up to the expectations you create on the site!

So many of us car nuts drool over exotica that we can never afford - this is a great way to give us all a stab at owning such a vehicle for not a huge amount of money in todays terms. (Lets face it, who has a weekly family grocery bill under £100!!!)

My 2 Cents...
If funds permit (within your business), why not run two competitions - one with low odds / high ticket price for a piece of exotica that is ordered once won (so no initial outlay) and one at a lower cost for a more 'everyday'type of performance vehicle such as an Elise.

Personally, If you ran a competition every month with a £50 or £75 ticket with a 1000/1 chance to win something really special - I would enter every month and pack up smoking to pay for it!

WTG.... Wish I had thought of the idea! Hope you do well.
Mak.

Thanks Makulu!,

after some of the grief we have received (I dont mean the mistakes that have been pointed out, we appreciate those and welcome them!) its a real buzz to receive this kind of backing from a Scoobynet regular like yourself.

The ideas you state for the regular/exotica are what we fully intend to implement one the idea has been proven with the Scoob draw.

BTW, have you voted in the future competitions section?

Best regards and thanks again,

TP

As listed above, you receive an e mail from Worldpay to confirm your purchase.

Because of the way worldpay have their systems set up, it doesnt send a direct mail from us, just one from them that we have slightly modified.

Re: DBM's posting above:

The 0-60 time is given on Subaru's web site...

(log on to www.subaru.co.uk, click on the WRX STi link to the left, view the flash animation and it gives the answers to all 3 questions)

...and the time they give is listed in the answers.

This query has already been covered in previous posts.

Hope this helps,

TP
