Lol call me a fasion victiom but he's right.
Give me a prancing horse over a London underground badge on the back any day!
I respect the r35 immensely. But looks wise its no less chavy/boy racer-ish then our cars. There just hard too beet for bang for buck!
R34 gtr on the other hand is pure sex. May not be as fast but can be done up to look jaw dropping l!

I had a simular experience with my old VXR8. I pulled up next to a chap at a fuel station in a Audi R8, as I coasted next to the pump the car decides to make even more noise than usual with a few pops out the exhaust on the overrun (car was fully decatted with an X pipe fitted, so pretty loud on tickover). I get out and start emptying my wallet in to the tank not giving the R8 much attention, not that I don't appricate them. The chap finishes fuelling up and walks past the front of my car giving it a good once over, you can seen him trying to work out what it is (car was fully badged up as a Holden). Then as he comes out he walks around the back this time giving it a good look, I'm still filling up at this point. He jumps in to his car and fires up giving it a few throttle blips, once he's out the forecourt he plants his foot and is off in a cloud of V10 fumes.

Got a similar story here. Where I live, I'm usually in the Tesco forecourt twice a week and always come across some young kid in a chavved up Corsa 'special edition' (whatever they are), Fabia VRS, Fiesta's, Clio 182's ect. They always have a look at the car and I leave them to it.
However a few weeks ago I went in there, pulled up at the pump and a Nissan R32 pulled in, noticed my car, and diverted himself to stop beside me. I'm already out and filling up and don't look across. He get's out, stares at my car and begin's his refuelling. He stops after a minute and goes past the car giving it a good look, no movement from me. I go in, stand behind him, he turns around to look at me, I ignore him. He pays, I pay. We both go back to our cars. He jumps in, turns engine on, gives it a few high blips. I ignore him. He sits and waits whilst I sort myself out, start the car, and pull out. He follows me out. I go onto the dual carriageway and he pulls up alongside me. I ignore him. He revs his engine. I still ignore him. He floors it. I stay inside the 50mph limit. Must've really pissed him off haha.

Why don't you say "nice car?" instead of everyone being really awkward and snidey about it? If someone looks at mine and they happen to be driving a nice car also, I usually comment and more than often they will compliment you back. Completely ignoring just makes you look really smug and arragonant. Granted, I don't get any looks anymore now that I've sold my Impreza .

In all honestly, I'm happy to talk to anyone about my car. Had someone at work this morning ask me about a few things for example. Just that day I felt like being stubborn haha.

I split a pair of GTR's at smeatharpe/dakota raceway last year, the guy who won (Jase something) was running over 800bhp and cleaned up at every event there last year, not sure what the other one was running but my 2.35/gt35r managed to sit comfortably in between them

So yesterday I drove into a garage, started filling up. As I'm stood there, this tuned koeniggseg pulls up. He sees the 'STi' emblem, he sees the scoobyworld backbox, he sees the potenza's.......he glances away, head hanging down. He fills up, walks in to pay, avoids direct eye contact. I fill up, pay at the pump, by which time he's walking out. At this point he walks over, offers me a straight swap, I decline. As he pulls away, I realise why he's overcome with jealousy - he knows it's no ordinary Impreza, but is in fact a 2.5 with chocolate Pistons and caramel headgaskets.

There's a subtle difference between petrolhead admiration and ***** waving, and there's endless amusement in that. We're all guilty of it. I drove a silver Aston Martin DB5 into a petrol station a couple of weeks ago and it was just like I'd landed from Mars. People were getting cameras out, asking questions about the car, I'll admit it felt good!
