Does seem a little strong, but I wouldent say it was hugely overpriced. Looks an excellent example to be fair.

Dat midnight purple skyline though

Thanks a lot once again. Appreciate the help.
I emailed again and he said that the car was bought before it went through auction, but the inspection was still done. The paper work for which is in the car so he could send once it arrives.

On a different note. I've found this blue one which is a grand and a half cheaper...I emailed about it and they said it's already in the UK and it has done '76ks' so I don't know if that means 76000kms or miles. Probably too cheap to be the former? Seen mixed reviews of SVA. Most seen to say they're 'OK' though?

Edit: slightly more concerning, they said they don't map the ECU and never have done, with no issues running super unleaded. I'm inclined to think that the 'no issues' comes from the mindfulness of the new owners getting the cars mapped for UK fuel...
Edit edit: It was bought direct from a dealership, so no auction sheet.

On looks alone that looks gorgeous. Get a second opinion, I guess it being very far from you (?) you would only go to buy.

If they havent mapped it then that would just mean that will be down to you.

Love the SVA one

Yes, the SVA one is a good 3hr 30 drive from me. If there was issues, I could console myself by going on a booze cruise to France I guess.

If they havent mapped it, then factor in the cost. You could always fly down, would that be any cheaper?

I am in no way disputing this as SVA have been in the import game a long time however I have noticed a few people using this excuse so as not to show potential customers the grade of the car. Saying they were bought private / off a trader so didnt go through auctions etc..etc..

Interesting idea, but I would be part exchanging. Shame though. I live next door to RAF Coningsby so I could've got one of the Typhoons to drop me off!

That was my first concern, but as you say, it does seem like they've been around a while and have seen reviews of people even travelling from Europe to buy off them.

I know I've left this for a long time (picked it up 28/03) and some people may well ridicule me for it, but I eventually went for the white one. Think I got a decent deal for it in the end, taking into account what I got for the part ex, as I had the part ex car advertised for a month at £500 more than what they offered me and not even a sniff.
So anyway, I'm now the very proud owner of a Type R. Everything checked out paper work wise and it drives well. The only thing that annoyed me was that they got the faded front bumper resprayed as part of the detailing the car received prior to pick up. Don't get me wrong, the actual paint job is good, there was just a fair bit of over spray on the grills. I've sorted that now, though. Few niggles, but it's nothing to complain about.

Thanks. It's in great condition. The Japanese sure love looking after their cars!
Stock bumper is on the list of things to do once my bank has recovered a bit and i can find one. Exterior i want to keep pretty much standard, thinking of putting the stickers back on. Maybe change the wheels, but that would be it.
Mechanically, I'm not sure yet. I'm not after big power, but I bet a lot of people say that to begin with! Think I'd be happy with 330-350 as long as the delivery is decent. I've not really researched what that involves yet as far as hardware goes. Exhaust and fuel pump at a minimum I would guess.

You would need an ecu capable of supporting the function such as an alcatek or simtek to allow this
