Its only been about 60 years sine you could walk into a chemist and buy cocaine. What happened after it was criminalised? Addiction rates did not drop. The next generation saw it as something "naughty" instead of the medicine it is hence the situation were in now. If all drugs were taxed controlled and legalised all dealers and crime associated would instantly disappear. We would NOT live in a world full of crack head either as drug users would be seen as victims NOT criminals

I'm diffracting drug users from drug abusers from drug needers! And I'm saying yes there's harm to be done. You can die from drinking too much water! The system we have does not work. Proven! Far too much money has been wasted on "the war on drugs"

Not just money resources! Its only been a very short period in time that these "illegal" drugs have been outlawed and only very recently some places have started slowly legalising cannabis again (with great success) why is the British government spending tens of millions fighting an organic plant that grows from a seed and its army of harmless calm hippys that use it? Tell me that and ill change my mind about the billions alcohol costs you and the tax payers money in anti social behaviour and the stain on the nhs and police force every single day

No, but morphine is, which is more or less the same thing.

Want to bet? Diamophine can be chosen on demand and on request to take away the pain away from someone 's painful last moments no its not street herion but the clean hybrid synthetic morphine's are even more effective and less harmful its still the same drus though

So yes they may not want to fight anyone but they are hardly a benefit to society....
A lot of pot smokers have violent tendencies, the passive angle is coined by potheads/dealers just like Staffy breeders have coined the term 'Nanny Dog' to help sell their fighting dogs.

Paranoia and schizophrenia don't juxtapose well with a gentle manner.

Pot smokers can be aggressive, it's just that they can't fight well when high. This is the confusion.

The only aggression they have is when the dealer doesn't answer his phone or says Ive got nowt mate!!... The we get in to the "it's not addictive" bit....why so annoyed then? Your body gets used to it and gets self reliant to it...and anyone who disagree with ANY of that obviously hasn't smoked enough

I don't get why there is an argument over whether weed is addictive. it is. just as is any vice in life. Subaru's are addictive (hence why we're all here)
As human beings we all have to 'fill' a void in our lives with something.

As someone who consumed large quantities of da weed over many years (stopped 16yrs ago) I'll say all of you are correct to a degree, apart from the comment about sex drive, if anything it makes you more horny and hightens the experience too.

I used to wake up in the morning make a coffee, roll and smoke a fat one that would have put most people in a coma for the day but it slowed me down and stopped me from being hyper, I'd then roll 3 more for the day and head off to work which is something I did for many years.

Like most things you get used to it and it just becomes your normal state of being, I held down many jobs over the years and even rose up the ranks to management level on a couple of occasions during my employment history.

I still think I wasted a large proportion of my life being involved with it and the reality is that it steals your ambition and your dreams.

I'm pretty sorted in life these days and I put a large part of that down to stopping smoking weed, when I quit I gained focus and direction, prior to stopping I was never really sure what I wanted and no matter what I did or how successful or how much money I made or spent on the high life, bikes, cars, boats, holidays, coke, women, champers it never made me feel truly happy beyond the moment.

Ultimately something was always missing and I think the reason for the weed use was part of that but in the end it wasn't until I stopped that I realised it was the problem.

Ask any NHS mental health nurse about the numbers of patients showing symptoms of psychosis due to cannabis, marijuana and the associated forms of sh@t.

The way modern weed is grown and cultured makes it many times more powerful than 60/70's stoners. The current problems will get worst and burden the already stretched NHS.

Safe?

In reality the war on drugs etc will never be won. Also many people go about there normal lives every day taking certain drugs and are no problem whatsoever to society. It's down to education and regulation. It just needs someone in power with ***** to admit the war is lost and a new approach is needed. It sounds extreme but if they actually supplied certain recreational drugs to those that choose to do them, where the drugs are actually what they say on the tin then it could be monitored and controlled. But as I say, government numbers are way out, as many people you would never know to be users and prefer to keep it that way.

Wouldn't we all if you could claim it back as expenses?

I'd be bang on that if someone else was paying
