Yes mine did have solid rears so I bought rubber ones, problem being I stripped the Allen key by the top nut so gave up and put the pedders on!
Rubber mounts for sale if anyone needs.

With the right spec springs they aren't too bad, they can be softer than standard or rock solid..... so make sure you get the right ones to suit you.

I had BC's on my Classic and Newage, and I thought they were fine.

Of course they aren't going to be as good as a £2000 set, but for the money they do a job.

Always use copper grease on the collars though as they are prone to seizing.
