As this thread is pointless I'll sign off with a summary.
You posted on here about driving like a tool and out running the police thinking you would get the response.
"Well done bruv you is so kool"
Instead people pointed out you are a bell end.
You then tried to be the big un claiming the police would not be able to trace you and in 30 seconds a picture of your car with reg no and address appeared.
You then dug a big hole and looked more stupid with every post.

On a serious note if the police have anpr they will easily find you but id say you driving like an idiot would have made them suspect the car is stolen and this is what attracted their attention.

Just a bit of fun thomas, I've always found it funny when people get emotional over a forum post. Do yourself a favour and don't comment if you're going to be a mug

what he fails to understand is the Mods would be able to produce the original before the edit,
they would also have the time and date of the original post and when edits were made, but hey what do I know,

Also id have been very lucky to make a story up that could be verified by his local plod, after a Impreza failed to stop for them . . . .

Well this thread has cheered me up this morning...the stupidity of some people is just off the scale.
I thought I was a complete spanner for leaving the bath running and flooding the bathroom last week...but this makes my incident look like an advert for Mensa!

You truly deserve the Spoon of the Day award

I am intrigued...do the mods report incidents like this to insurance reps on ScoobyNet and/or police?

There are 10's of links and posts on SN directly linking members to speeding or insurance fraud, even videos! I've not come across anyone saying that due to a post on SN the local nick have made a house call. Yet.

That's because there's no proof anyone has sped from a 'forum post'. I haven't even said what car I was in this morning, even if I was in a car. Maybe playing need for speed has had me seeing weird dreams! (inb4 need for speed based related driving skill joke)

Anyways, thanks for the entertainment. I'm sure people have enjoyed my stupidity, but it's all for fun

To the OP, it's quite plain that you're not the least bit bothered by the prospect of a knock on the door for a failure to stop. Bully for you. That's fine with me, and I suspect most of the onlookers on here.
I'm certainly not going to lecture you on rights and wrongs, but you have done two dumb things this morning. The first was put your foot down and the second was to tell the world about it.
And then to pretend that nobody will ever find out because you deleted the 'evidence'. Well that isn't quite right is it.
I think you ought to have a serious look at what's been posted here, even by you.

Wasn't a failure to stop at all. This policecar I saw somewhere was going in another direction, so I thought maybe he got a call.

I just carried on at 50 with my foot down on the mats.

Everyone everywhere posts stuff about speeding, and you're all getting emotional at this.

You've all been a part of a social experiment. Thank you for your participation.

I don't think its necessarily the speeding stuff which has rubbed people up the wrong way....Im sure most people on here have a "spirited" drive every now and then (right time & place). It's your general attitude I think, which has annoyed people.

Just my 2p

But no, blue by you, you're right. I am really stupid.

Stupid for posting about my video game. I should keep it to myself, as clearly video games nowadays are too violent for everyone.

Maybe I should have pulled over for the american rozzer in need for speed that was going the other way, but I seemed to lose him despite doing no more than 55 so I guess it wasn't for me.

Oh well.

Have a nice day

No I get it. But, I didn't have an attitude at the start. I just wanted to know, whether police in need for speed would be able to clock your speed when going the other way. Apparently it took a wrong turn in.

Everyone, I apologise for my attitude. If I decide to conduct a social experiment in the future, I will use more polite ways of socialising and interaction.

Thanks for your time.

Those bucket seats your after will help hold you in those fast corners you like taking . But I doubt they will be a worthwhile excuse in court ...

Used to be my job... Quick check on MID and then pass on to the relevant people?!

(I'd add - they don't trawl without reason I.e if they have fair cause to suspect mods/other non-disclosures on the application).

However, in OP's defence, no one buys a Scooby to drive like a saint.... I did something similar many years ago (90 in a 50mph zone at 2am in an Alfa MiTo Cloverleaf). Unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky and Mr Plod caught up with me. Policeman was incredibly fair with me and after an almighty bollocking let me off with a Section 39 (where they can seize the car if it happens again), even after I disclosed car was being sold following day....

Still enjoy a B road blast but I'm far more restrained these days...
