It's not worth going after market or using anything other than your standard one. I'm running 500+ on a standard inlet

Your OEM WRX ECU will run the 2.1 engine with the newage inlet/sensors etc - as long as you use the cam and crank triggers from the newage engine not the V6. Pretty sure they can be fitted OK.

If you do go AVCS, then you'd need an OEM newage STi ECU.

Power wise - I ran OEM STi ECU up to 500bhp OK and others have gone higher.

Your best bet is get over to engine tuner in Plymouth...
I'd second that Speak to Alan and Martyn and they'll set you straight on all the "oilybits" choices you have
