Looks like the Brazilians aren't too interested in the Olympics either. The Athletics started today to a near empty stadium -- I remember watching the first days athletics in London 2012 (Jess Ennis!) and the stadium was rammed....

"Wiggo Friday."

Doesn't have quite the same ring.

Did anyone catch him stick his tongue out on the podium. The nut. Reminded me of Daley in 1984 lol

Boardman s explanation of the physical effort and technique to be a team pursuit rider. 850 watts to lead the pack at 65kph!!. The loop out to drop to the back was interesting.

The explanation of the Keirin was quite entertaining, especially when they questioned why on earth the derny had full suspension.

Was a good day in the velodrome yesterday by all accounts.

Hats off to Mo! Most athletes would have accepted defeat after falling over against that lot. To take a tumble and then come back and win it, at Olympic level, is nothing short of legendary. Having watched Mo at the anniversary games a few weeks ago, he is indeed a machine LOL!!!!

Lost all respect for Bradley Wiggins after he acted like a complete **** during the national anthem.

Anyone else see the German discuss gold-medal winner during his national anthem. Couldn't have been more disrespectful if he'd have tried.

Well following my OP I have to say that I am belatedly enjoying much of the games. Time difference is a pain and I find I go to bed late, turn on R5 to wait for a race and usually fall asleep before it starts My viewing on TV was not much better as I watched on BBC1 who then said switch to 4 for more competitions. I am probably the only one in the country who didn't realise that they meant BBC Four and not Channel 4

But well done to Mo, the wheelie boys and the rowers

Was fantastic. Plus another guaranteed gold and silver in the men's pursuit, later today.

The French, yet again, can't understand how GB time the peaking of the athletes for the Olympics every 4 years. Last time it was magic 'non-circular' wheels (despite them being French made lol)... This time concealed magnetic drive motors.

The feeling you get watching the team GB men's and women's cyclists (and rowers) must be what the Germans feel like watching football

The cycling last night was fantastic - especially the girls team pursuit (and Kelly James too)

Totally. A calm, if slightly arrogant, confidence.

Oh, if only that feeling could be fostered for the England football team.

Gold in gymnastics, wow

In the 60, 70, 80, and 90's I'm not even sure we bothered to send anyone to the gymnasium events

^^^ He got double gold... Within 40 mins! Plus Louis got silver.

Rose got gold in the golf.

Gold and silver in the sailing.

Murray with a good chance of retaining his title.

Plus looks like good chance of gold in the women's cycling. Plus possible silver, too.

Then we have Cav in the men's Omnium.

Plus a guaranteed gold and silver in the men's pursuit.

Forget "Super Saturday 2012"; this is "Sensational Sunday"!

Unsurprisingly, we're now above China, in 2nd!
