I know a butcher who won't eat meat because his brain has adversely lodged the blood, skinning and the gutting he has to deal with.

Well, from this website:
http://www.livestrong.com/article/54...h-in-fructose/
When it comes to blood sugar and carbohydrates, your body doesn’t react any differently to the fructose that naturally exists in fruit than it does to added sweeteners like corn syrup.
But,
Yet fruits offer the additional advantages of fiber and antioxidant vitamins, making them nutritionally superior to “empty” starches like candy or pastry.
Bringing an example in: High fructose fruit i.e. half a mango is better than a bar of Cadbury's- nutritionally. But if your habit is to binge on food regardless, then you'd eat too much mango in a day , which will be bad for you. Common sense isn't always common, but it can be developed over the time, if one tries.
Such binging or grazing habits are often family learnt habits as well, where, ironically, the impulse is in control of the individual. Unconscious binge eating may have some underlying reasons, which one can make an effort to sort; with or without others' help.

That customer in particular supplies another customer of mine with "cleaned up" fresh produce.
I commented on how much stuff they cut off before using the ingredient in a finished product.
He just told me that you should see the state of it when they first get it.
