Aye fair point, believe the newage shell is a 150% stiffer than a classic or something along them lines

I think it's an age old long debate that will always divide opinions, the hardcore fanboys on either side don't help either.

Personally I'm happy to leave it at they're both fantastic cars following a very similar recipe. I'd be happy with either, they both make me smile in equal measures.

I have an Evo 5 and an Impreza Classic.

Evo 5 is ~500bhp
Impreza is ~350bhp

The evo is pretty mental and more of a drivers car. In the open country roads, it plants better than the Scooby.

However the Scooby is a lot more fun and nippier around the town, very easy to drive. Just have a whoosh when you want it. The burble of the scoob always turns heads.. but then.. so does the Evo 5 when I take it to town!

Owning both (back to back) I would say the Evo is the better drivers car. Not because of gadgets (a 5 has very little of these), but because of how solid it is.

The Scoob is a better daily and will also bring a grin to your face (saying classic here as I have never driven anything else Scoob wise!)

I too would agree the Scooby does seem to have more of a personality than the Evo...

Clarkson said it all a few years ago, after testing both cars his conclusion was....

'Both are great cars BUT which one would I rather drive home?' The Scooby
