NTL CM - had it for over 2 1/2 years now. Luckily Cambridge was one of the first to offer broadband under NTL as they bought up the old Cambridge Cable and have a bit of a monopoly.

Currently using ISDN via a router.
Occasionally Use ISDN via External TA
Used to use (and will have to again at some point) ISDN via PCI TA
Never managed to get ISDN working on my PCI modem

Currently 56k with Force 9 / PlusNet, 3 PCs, 3 modems.
A little box should be awaiting me when I get home and after a few hours of tinkering should be:
512k ADSL from PlusNet, 3 PCs connected through Netgear ADSL router.

Thank you everyone for the info
I see none of you have dual connections yet such a shame, you don't know what you are missing....zero downtime

Dial-up using 56K modem and confused about ADSL
apart from the speed hike, what's involved in hardware (for the non-techy / not in IT ones amongst us ) looked at using existing phone line with a filter on but what's involved in modems - internal / external / router / LAN etc?
what's BT openworld like for broadband? do they still limit time online (rip-off)?
