Joined in 2001, first scoob was a 1998, had four scoobs and a forrester turbo before moving on. Loved every one of them!
Not had a scoob for many. many years ... but still check in very occasionally, loved the community spirit.

2009 I joined. only had 1 Subaru a 97 green facelift UK 2000 and out of all my cars I've had, I miss that one. I MOT checked it the other day and it's still going.

I’ve noticed that a lot of the old timers on here were active when they bought there Subarus either brand new or a year or two old and have sold them on so there no longer active….
Imagine buying a blobeye uk widetrack brand new…how much were they at the time?
as far as I’m concerned that is the creme de la creme….nothing kept up with them!

Very apt post from my perspective, albeit over a few years.. My son turned 18 last year and follows JDM circles.. so dipped my toes back into scooby life, picked up a MY93 WRX Grey Import yesterday.. needs some work..but what better way to spend time with my son and pass down some knowledge and the car.

Exactly. Also, classic model Imprezas still offer genuine driving pleasure and the ability to surprise, after 30 years in the case of your car.
I don't drive mine much these days, but time gets reversed when I do. I have found that modern EV drivers expect my 'random old banger' to be easily out-accelerated or to be intimidated to move out of the way. The car lets me become 26 again...
