if the valve is stuck (what's the actual code your getting?) then shutting off the power won't make a difference to it. Best you can do is pop the fuses and relays for it until you can get it blanked off properly and the codes deleted from the map.

Get it ripped off, fit the blanking plugs to the heads, pull the cable to the pump and get the codes turned off in the ECU.

Job done.

The system was installed primarily for North American markets where they have to do a cold start emissions test which is very stringent. We don't need the system in the UK and it's far more trouble than it's worth.

The end.

Tried the Subaru UK route and they've stuck two fingers up at me, so looks like I'll be arranging a removal, blanking and delete.

Subaru told me that with this system the fault code that gets thrown does not always point to the piece of equipment at fault. Essentially there are 2 electronic valves and 1 plastic pump. The pump was circa £700 when I last checked and the valves were not far off that EACH either. There are also a couple of in-line non return valves too that could have gone faulty and could get burned out if one of the valves gets stuck open. They told me they would keep fitting new parts until the fault code went away so had no idea how much it would cost to fix, but did warn me it could be up to £2k to fix.

So I did the right thing and ripped it all off mine, blanked it off and got it mapped out! Sorted!

That's a good call Gambit.

I ended up buying the Cosworth delete kit for £43 some 7 years ago when I did mine. It was 2 CNC machined aluminium plates just like the cheap Subaru part you showed and 4 screws. Very underwhelming.

Come to think of it, even at that daft price they didn't come with gaskets. I had to make my own gaskets from gasket paper to fit them!

Did have Cosworth stamped on them though, so worth every penny!

Cosworth stamping gotta be worth a few extra bhp

usually some good full kits on US ebay also for decent money if you need new bolts etc

Nice kit for no money at all that. Half the price of the Cosworth kit with twice the parts!

Any decent specialist can, bear in mind you'll need it mapped out.

Won't fail the MOT due to that being in fault if that's what your thinking, mines been unplugged for the last 2 years and never failed.
