As you said yours is 2000. He's talking about 1995 model. Plus as you said yours has been well serviced.

Went to look at some with a mate. And there was some heavily abused ones out there, if you don't know what your looking for you could easily end up with a mess.

One Impreza we saw had no oil on the stick. And when I checked the gear box oil he was shocked as never new it was there.

Some of u guys are misunderstanding where I'm coming from. I'm one of those guys that drives a car for 6 months to a year then tries something else because theres several cool cars I want to try. However Its specifically the 90s era japanese sports cars I love. I am not fond of post 2000 cars. An ep3, dc5 or blobeye subaru(from front) just look horrible to me.

So yes I am looking at other rust boxes because I love them, and just saw a civic vti today. However an impreza(gc8) is on my list and that wrx spoiler makes me so hard, though it will probably be a limited affair.

Im not expecting them to last with minimal maintenance, I know they might give me a headache, however thats why I said I'm gonna pack in after at most 1k repairs as I know I wont dedicate myself to the car. But if it last 3 months to a year without ongoing repairs, then even better.

That WRX spoiler makes you so hard?
Youre a right weird un aren’t you? You are asking people who love these cars how to bag yourself one you can ‘rag’ about & hardly bother to maintain?

Least he is going to be safer ragging a wrx around (even safer with a blob)!

Those high maintenance STIs never know where there,ve been.... those big front mounts.....and that big rear wing, god knows what could happen to him

Uh I love those cars too. And did I say I wouldn't maintain them? I said I was hoping I wouldn't have to endlessly repair them and who wouldn't hope for that? Endless repairs will get in the way of having fun since youll hardly get the chance to drive it and you'll break the bank in the process.

These cars are there for people to enjoy but if some people want to collect fine with me. To each his own.

Saw that one but its 3.5 hours away. really dont want to go that far right now, should be able to find one closer to home, rust ones aren't hard to find lol. Anyway just had a claim on my insurance, probably better to deal with that before getting another car now.
