I dyno'd around 430- 448 several times. Ive seen the yanks run 500bhp. But I was in California 2 weeks back, they run FMIC alot more due to the hot weather. As we are cooler climates, TMIC works fine for me.
Im also running a full ceramic coated exhaust from downpipe to tail pipe end, wrc inspired.

Fitting the turbo blanket allowed an extra 10 bhp after a map tweak.
Whether this was due to keeping the exhaust gasses hotter (and thus, faster flowing) or reducing the heat rising under the TMIC (and thus, a cooler charge), I don't know.
I imported the Grimmspeed from the States at an all in price including shipping, VAT & Duty of £595. That was when a £1 was worth $1.50 (before we all got shafted by ferkin' Brexiteers!), though.

I'm running 405 on a Grimmspeed Black TMIC with a Perrin in-wing CAIK and Perrin turbo blanket.

And perhaps water/meth injection.
Thanks for showing this is viable

So does an under tray help to keep temps down or reduce the flow through the ic and therefore not help , surely it would be easy to make a tray up with a piece of aluminium ? , i have an fsti so it has a wrx ic with sti sprayed on it , i’m only running 340 so is there any benefit going to an sti ic , i’m not bothered about more power , plus at the mo i have very little lag , it’s on full boost around 2200 rpm i assume a bigger ic effects lag ?

Bigger IC will not make any noticeable difference to spool/lag. If any replacement IC cools charge air more efficiently then it gives you cooler charge air and the ability to either make more power or make the same power with a larger safety margin.
If you're not doing prolonged wide open throttle runs then I wouldn't bother upgrading if I were you.
