Ok well thanks for your help and yours aswell Dan,I will mention it to mark to check the gaskets.

hose clamp had broke and come off some pipework on the intercooler, all fixed now

gotta love thwaites and their honesty, many other places could have claimed it was all sorts and charged ££££
