What turbo options for 500bhp ?

Yeah you’re most certainly right if only I knew this and had done my research before getting my engine built that’s what I would’ve done but I’m not taking the heads off now just to make the extra 25 or 30 BHP and paying for the additional costs of cams and bigger ported heads ETC. I think it’s important to note that when manufacturers sell a 500 BHP turbo and they label it as such with the mention that they say it will hit this BHP figure with supporting mods I’m pretty certain it’s safe to assume they mean headwork also - which isn’t too common in most peoples engine build- well mine anyway!

Thanks mate and yeah all credit goes to Engine Tuner he has mapped it so it’s on full boost at 1.8 bar making 469 bhp at 4000-4500 Rpm and holds that power consistently all the way to the redline. Makes you feel a bit better when after the build he says ‘try and blow it up!’ I have to say for the first time ever I Felt reassured my engine is built with it being more than capable of handling that power on its annual trips to the ring and spirited driving

Something that doesn't seem to get mentioned on here is two cars, with exactly the same specs/mods etc can get two different dyno results. Also vary supporting mods, even down to different exhaust manufacturers of a similar 3 inch system can result in varying results. Also some turbo's get revised over the years so might not be the same year on year.
It is very rare turbo's get truly backed to backed, aka, one fitted, mapped, dyno'd, next one fitted, mapped dyno'd etc etc as you don't tend to get try before you buy.
That muddies the water no end i know, but is the reality.
