I had a similarly hard clutch pedal on another car. The hydraulic flexible pipe had broken up inside and a flap of rubber was acting as a non return valve. bits also found their way into the master cylinder giving all sorts of weird symptoms.
I would certainly check everything external before ripping the clutch out.

Ok quick update my car has gone into the garage to be looked at what the problem is but the question I have is if my clutch has indeed gone and is knackered do I go for another Competition Clutch stage 2 or the Exedy pink box? Car is running 500/500 so the next one needs to handle these power figures thanks in advance.
