70 quid for a Geforce 2 GTS with a broken fan!!?? You can buy a new GF2 Ti 64mbDDR for that if you shop around. I would go for the Kyro 2 card in the £50 price range. Performs as well as a GF2.

Please DON'T be fooled by the KyroII's performance. I have had 3 of these 64 meg cards pass through my hands as I recommended them to colleagues after looking at loads of reviews.
I thought they were going to be true bargains for what you got, but I was mistaken. They really are not upto the job. Sound very nice on paper, but don't live upto the hype. Within 2 months of getting these cards, all 3 of them had upgraded to Nvidias. There had been early driver issues with them too, which pretty well all got fixed, but the 3d performance when actually using them in the flesh were flaky compared to the Nvidia's.
One of the guys was running a TNT2Ultra, then swapped to a Kyro2, then changed to a Hercules GF2Ti on a Celeron 566,now running a smeleron 900 and Loves it.
Number 2 was running a TNT2M64/32mb then swapped to a Kyro2 and is now running an Athlon 1Gig@1.2 with a Hercules GF2Ti and loves it
Number 3 is running an Athlon XP1800+ with an Elsa GF3 and loves it.
You will get a performance increase with going to either an MX400 or a KyroII, but not by that much really.
GF2Ti gets my vote every time. The MX series really aren't all that at all, just a well crippled GF2
no offense intended, just my 'knowledge'/experience/opinion.
Cheers,
Nick
