This is still and will be one of my fav hatches alongside 2 others
if I was a speed junkie I’d ask him for a swap with mine no joke.
the best part of this hatch has to be the roof flap for me till this day 🥰

and awesome car tbh - just sooo capable and reliable
in the alps 11 years ago
centre diff lock and rear diff lockers too - with a transmission/differential setup that makes a range rovers look like a toy
a genuinely remarkable car, have taken it all over Europe in conditions you would not believe
i was going to sell it and buy a Q7 (had a skiing trip planned to France in April so had to transport 7 to the Alps, thought might be nice in a Q7 - covid cancelled)
this was in Feb - then the world went to shoite - glad i kept it in the end
oh and unbelievably tricky to value - prices go from 11K to 3k (MY00 Full Spec 4.2TD)
i put it up at 5k, had an immediate offer of 4k - which i declined - then nothing, in meantime it MOT'd for the year (new rear shock)
then covid hit - tbh lost interest in selling, happy to keep (passed my motorbike test (29th Jan this year) after 30 years of promising myself i would - so moved on to persuading the wife whether i can get a bike!!!!)

Lol, a 4.2 Land cruiser Amazon is many things Zany
But a "daily" it is not
And seriously, thank you - this is a Jap car forum after all and we (hopefully) love our Jap cars
And boy the Amazon is as much a legend as the Scooby
When i browsed ebay for a replacement i felt a tad guilty - it is a monster of a car and has never ever let my family down (and my wife can parallel park it in a crowded west london street - she loves it)

he shouldn’t have even advertised it to be honest
if I ever genuinely advertised my car I would never feel the same bout it to be honest
it’s why I nearly took £10k off a dealer last year before I found a place to store it ☹️
