It’s only my opinion , never claimed otherwise.
That opinion is based on my beliefs and values.

Look at how the guy is now trying to cling to power, pretty nasty individual and America deserves better.
The world needs better.

In my opinion ))

America has traditionally taken a leadership role on the global stage, pretty much by default being the largest economy with the greatest power to reach out.
As a citizen of the UK i found that to be more acceptable that if the same role were adopted by say Russia or China.

Under Trump the country has become inward focused (I agree they have lots of domestic issues that need attention).

Policies like protectionism and absolving themselves from global committments, how is that the path to making America great again?
To deal with the Chinese economy wise is very hard, they have a greater efficiency becuase of lower wages, the quality of their products is increasing too.
The proper way is to increase competitivness of the US economy, but that would play bad with voters wheras tariffs and protectionism plays well in the short term.

My worry was that a second Trump term would damage America further and Russia/China increasing in power. Putin has made no secret he want's Trump there and Xi must relish having a clown in the White House as well.

It is only my opinion, but I'm emboldened by the fact that the majority of voting Americans also see major flaws in Trumps approach to things.

I just wish it did not wind me up so much.

Everything he doesn't win he claims to be rigged, not just elections.

2016 was a rigged election (until he won it).
2020 was predicted to be rigged before it even started due to mail in votes, now that he's lost, oh yea, it's those pesky mail in votes. It would be funny if it were not so serious.

Now Dem's are apparently trying to steal the election, yet it's Republicans who lost are are trying to revise history to somehow make it like they won.

And still there are his loyal supporters for whom he can do no wrong, or at least no wrong that seems to matter.
The orange one, once said he could kill someone on the street and people would still vote for him, and i fear he's actually right on that.

Some people are not intelligent enought to know they are stupid.

To be fair, I think it was a surprise to a lot of people that a reality TV host could run and win a presidential election in all seriousness.

I think we estasblished that a while back. Good opportunity though for you to explain why?

Am genuinly interested in what makes a Trump fan tick.

But i think stay away from the corruption angle, because Trump is already #1 on that, unless you like corruption of course, maybe that's it.

One of the hosts on LBC is pro Trump.

He claims he switched from Biden following the Hunter Biden story, which anyway seems to be a false allegation.
What intrigues me is that if the same allegation were made at someone in Trump's circle that's just fine.

It's also fine for Trump to pay no tax etc etc.

So it seems like a cult of personality.
I agree that Trump is an interesting character, and certainly great at whipping up a crowd, but that does not qualify him for the presidency.

From bbc website.Who China preferred to see in the White House was a matter for debate before the election. The US intelligence community believed Xi Jinping and the Communist Party leaned towards Mr Biden.

But Professor Yan Xuetong, at Beijing's Tsinghua University, said China would rather have seen four more years of Donald Trump.

"Not because Trump will do less damage to China's interests than Biden, but because he definitely will damage the US more than Biden," he told the BBC before the election.

Mind you, what do these professor types know about anything? Always spouting off their opinion on things as if they should be taken seriously! LOL.

i am by no means a trump fan, so you can stop thinking that. Although i dont think he has done a totaly bad job, it's more a dislike for biden, the dems and their policies with my personal opinions leaning more towards the republican policies as a whole.

You say trump is the most corrupt by why? biden has made alot of money in politics, where trumps wealth has dropped since he became president. so would you define corruption as making money? if so then biden is far more corupt. Also trump had years of investigation that found very little, with most being opinionated garbage and the whole starting point turned out to be an opinionate made up doucument. The evidence against biden and ukraine is considerably stronger from what we know (videos and emails have already been released to the public and confirmed to be origionals and not faked), yet they wont investigate? so again i would put the corruption squarly on biden and the dems as they wont even investigate. Remember the accusations against Kavanaugh? The dems jumped all over a single acusation that could never be confirmed by any of the suposed witnesses, who in the end said the oposite.

So to me, while trump does have his own agenda for sure, the dems are far far more corrupt.

Biden seems to be having mental health issues, at times he didnt know where he was or what he was saying (he claimed he was running for senator at one point). he also has policies that would totaly destroy the economy of the US, the green new deal for example, the dems admited it would cost the US economy about 1 trill dollars, yet biden claimed in one of the presidential debates it would make the US a profit. Also add in how handsy he is with women (again photo's all over the place with that) and also sniffing kids (been plenty of reports of this and videos of him leaning into kids). Short version he comes across as your dirty old grandpa whos not all their in the head any more.

Then it comes to the Dems as a whole, they are way too far left leaning for my tastes. They even paid the bail for several rioters that were arrested, they have shown a serious lack of ability to deal with the current civil unrest and in alot of cases have made it worse by supporting them.

The ironic thing is im a slightly left leaning liberal and we get the benefit of being on the outside looking in with no vested interest of course.

there is consiuderably more evidence in the public domain about it than there ever was for turmp and russia, so why is it not being investigated?

i agree with you, he's an egotistical pompus *****, but when you look at whats available and then look at what he's done wihout the whole press 'trump bad' he's not done a bad job.

TBH i think its a sign of the current state of politics. Im not exactly smitted with he conserative party, but labour arn't a viable alernative as all they do is yell gov bad, gov bad. It's dragged the whole political situation into the gutter as we have no real oposition.

The most damning thing about this is that it's not shocking, it's actually expected behaviour at this point.

"Stop the steal" they said - LOL.

Good thing is this should be enough to prevent a run at 2024.

Yes the Rebuplican Party are distancing from him faster than a wet fart in a lift - this will have damaged them for years & years.... and as for storming the Capitol Building - 4 deaths (1 shooting) I'm fully surprised there was not more - they only probabaly got in as the Capitol Police thought we can't shoot waves of people - but ultimately thats probably what it needed.... Riots next?

Antifa and blm do it to peoples homes and its protest. Trump supports attack political buildings and its rioting.

Not that either is acceptable, just find if Interesting how the press are framing it.

Riots hve been going on for months already. Question is what happens next, If the dems crak down on the trump supports it is going to get 10 times worse. Right now it needs de-escation, not doubling down as thay will only fan the flames.
