Thats almost double your budget mate, don't get caught up with the magic dragon. Yes spend that extra to get what you want but that much over it might be worth just looking a little bit longer if you know what I mean.
Zany's one is deffo worth a look though and if you were going to stretch to that amount look at his. He might even through in some rare gear *****
This one is up for sale, might be worth dropping an offer. Not sure if I have shared this. MOT history looks ok but have a good look underneath it though

the day it sells which I doubt everything I’ve collected is going with it

You pay a premium for white imprezas, usually £2-3k extra in my experience. You can buy a fresh 4b import for £13k on the road. That would be my preference if I was in you position. You will have to wait for it to be shipped but in 3-4 months you’ll have exactly what you’re looking for.

The non paint dent removal people should be able to get that out loooool
Just so people know Zany didn't write-off his car, he backed into a skip and dented the boot. He didn't want to use filler so instead found a boot with a different spoiler that he was after anyway. If anyone is serious about his car go and view it and if he throws in all those extras he has been buying then they will be worth a fair bit lol.

Thanks, I have seen this one already, was on a few months back, the owner said the subframe was replaced, and it has suffered with rust in the past, also has a bubble on rear arch, I saw underneath pics, and didn't look as clean as other I have seen. I would love to spend 8-9k on a good one, but no chance, the good ones are going for 10-13, and some real gems at 15k, right now, I would feel okay spending 10k, but if I wait until after Christmas, I could add a few k on top.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should. £15k on a standard bug is insane although that might be considered cheap in a few years.
Like others have said if you want stock at that sort of budget look into importing. That way it should be rust free so all you need to do is remap and underseal.

You will get a better can if you import it directly and if you’re planning on waiting then the time would fly by. Torque GT have a pretty good reputation and may already have something on its way over. It would be worth phoning round the import companies to see if they have anything in transit that hasn’t been advertised.
I do know someone selling a blue widetrack running 460bhp on a 2.1 enginetuner build with MD321T. I think mileage is around 70k. He has all the receipts, well over £20k. He’s asking £13-14k I think, based Leicester. He’s on here so if you’re interested I’ll try and tag him

The current prices are all over the place mate. I think you’d be best waiting a couple of months and see what happens. Come the new year it’s likely that the recession will start to bite and there may be a few more available pushing prices down.

Has anyone bought an expensive impreza in this country recently?
The prices seem really high but I keep seeing the same cars rolled out over n over on eBay & PH.
IMO the American import market has skewed ours ie can’t get one in the Japan for less than X so it automatically means the ones here are worth X+Y, it then has a knock on effect on everything else. When a GTI-R is now ‘worth’ £15k a better sti must be worth more. Trouble is we don’t have the market here at the inflated prices from what I can see.
My mate was telling me my STI V6 is worth over £10k because DCY have two that aren’t as nice for £11k... but they’ve been for sale for months! In reality an actual sale would have to be more like £8k if you wanted to sell it?
If I was buying I’d not want to be paying these asking prices as they seem unrealistic, if they were realistic stuff would sell quickly.
