I really like that , the only downside it’s not powerful enough , they do an ls3 6.2 into land rovers i would buy one of them , if they put a proper v8 ie the 5.7 in a scooby then it becomes as far as i’m aware rwd only due to engine size

Find modern cars abit boring. Mate has a seat Leon, running loads power, but doesn't feel like it. Much prefer Impreza to drive, went down the Euro box route and wasn't blown away. Way too comfortable. Abit void of feeling.

as above , newer cars can be boring as not needing as much driver input, as too much is done for you by the car , a mapped subaru impreza or forester sti will give many modern cars a run for there money in the performance stakes , my fsti there’s nothing in it between it and a golf r , in theory the golf r being quicker , not as fast as the merc a45 , but the merc is way more £££ and is very competent , but it is well known for being rather boring

Yea if you just want a fast car, then yea there's plenty faster, plenty more practical, plenty more comfortable and plenty more fuel efficient. Just buy an Audi Diesel.
But love the sound of the Impreza, the way it drives, AWD, and the way the power is put down.
Tried other cars but wasn't Impressed.

Same reason people are passionate about a vxr8 or a monaro as they are letting you drive rather than the car drive you , my favourite of the two even though it’s slightly slower than the vxr8 is the monaro , it shares the scooby appeal of a bit old school , mpg my Fsti will do over 35 mpg and still does 0 to 60 in around 4.8 or less , funnily enough the monaro it’s a tuned 5.7 putting out 440 bhp and the same foot pound , on a long run 36 mpg , booted it drains a 75 litre tank in 61 miles 😂👍 , less than one tank of fuel to go from london to edinburg , plus very comfy inside
